It’s all so over the top it comes across like an SNL skit. He’s got the hobby joggers gobbling it up somehow, there must be a big market for gullible people.
hobby joggers eat up Dean Karnazes and David Goggins as well. back in the day Dean Karnazes was more famous than Scott Jurek. just need crazy, almost unbelievable, stories and yell go hard and pain cave a lot
"Debate in good faith"? Lol. David, you're just a troll trying to derail the conversation about how you and your wife cheat into long digressions about the integrity of your accusers. You never addressed any of the substantive arguments against you and there was nothing "good faith" about your sideshow posts.
Glad to see you're giving up on posting though, just like you'll give up before the river as WS and DNF. You weren't very good at writing and no one ready your boring, overwrought prose.
By next year, no one will remember your name and perhaps you can impress your "pupils" with stories of your running victories as a substitute teacher in the Boulder Co. Schools.
Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the out!
It is like he brings it up a lot as a benchmark for fitness, but it does get repetitive. Maybe it's just his way of emphasizing consistency at high performance levels .

Lol, this feels like a clip from a movie where neither the actor nor the director has even ran. I'm convinced at this point he's just trying to lull all his competitors in a false sense of security by acting like a complete gumby.
Why the heck do we have this many pages talking about the guy?
Because his sycophants—or, rather, him/Megan/his mom—want to keep it running. They either dismiss every criticism and tell everyone who has a legitimate complaint that they’re losers/haters, or they redirect to something else. All publicity is good publicity for their brand. The David Show.
The entire reason people care is because they a big-time liars and scammers. The whole “no secrets” thing is a monstrous pile of horse crap. They hide and manipulate data to inflate their athletic caliber and get more attention. It’s for popularity, influence, and money. They want people to pay them to have their stupid little podcast and train all day and pay for their nanny and buy all the expensive training equipment.
They advertise individualized coaching but use a copy/paste approach and don’t have enough time to even analyze their athletes’ data. They are insincere and mean. They lie about their workouts and cheat wherever they can and then tell you that it’s all about building brick by brick. They never apologize or say they were wrong. There’s just so much.
Really, they are narcissists. They are nasty but pretend like it’s all about love. This doesn’t sit well with people. Particularly when other people fall for it and then blow money getting a bad training plan that isn’t right for them. Go somewhere else. ChatGPT would probably be better than what the Roches deliver. You can even have it created in his “love everyone” voice!
I did David's 50k ultra training plan and my quads totally blew up in the last 15kms of a recent 50k ultra. I had to walk most of the last 13 kms.
Is this David's fault?
I followed all of his recommendations about working downhills etc in order to try and avoid this. I was well within my aerobic capacity. It was just my soreness.
Really well said. Out of curiosity I logged into Zwift to see their most recent workouts, I screenshotted Megan riding at 135watts or 3.0 watts/kg putting her at 99lbs. Similar math for David put him at 127lbs. I’m guessing this is about 20 lbs off for each of them. Sooo.. yeah. Liars and cheaters. Here’s some more proof.

"We’ve been making some changes to better show that we offer some of the best personalized, high quality coaching in the industry. Before anyone chooses to work with a Higher Running coach, we want them to know exactly what to expect. We then aim to meet—and hopefully exceed—their expectations. Recently, we’ve seen comments that the online coaching world is a mess, impersonal, and that some coaches only care about making money. They take on too many athletes and give them all the same plan with a few tweaks. We want to make sure everyone knows there are still quality companies out there with coaches who truly care—and that we’re one of them. We’ve updated our coaching page to clearly show our offerings. Additionally, we now offer two different tiers of coaching! Learn more here: "
