I've been in the market for 30 years. I accept the normal ups and downs.
The issue with Trump is that there's no rationale to what he does. One day he's putting on tariffs and the next he isn't. Nothing has been gained by the theater of the last few days. No concessions were made. It's only losses -- the market hates his instability and chaos.
That's the thing with Trump -- he makes unforced errors pretty much every day. He does something dumb and unnecessary and then is forced to walk it back. Let's fire a bunch of people when we don't even know what to do. Oops, turns out we need you. Can you come back? Wait, you're fired again. Ok, please come back. But we sold the building you work in, so there's no place for you to work. Also, you can't do this job remote.
