Dan Nash quoted this post in his strava comments hahah.
Hi Dan, big fan of the pod btw keep them coming
Love that they read the thread and took it in their stride.
Physiology of endurance running pod is the best out there, it's the antithesis to what we moan a lot about on this thread: attention seeking, bad training, dubious sponsorships and running fads.
I hope they never change a thing!
facts, great interviews with people as well. The coaching one the other day was top tier and having athletes like hawkins on who you don't hear much from or about is great too.
I might see about a conservatory extension to get the full experience
Floberg cannot even finish his very simple workouts now
"This workout isn’t as impressive as it looks 😂 Got through 3 reps and then had to take three 2 min rests at the end. Still a great one & great stimulus. Very warm, very windy. Got to hang with Will Hopkins the whole time 🤘🏼 2 up 3 x 2 mi @ 5:30/mi w/ 400m jogs 1 mile @ 5:28, 3 min standing rest, 1 mile @ 5:24, 2 min standing rest, 1 mile @ 5:18, short rest 2 down Was supposed to be 4 x 2 mile and then 1 fast mile."
He cannot complete 4 x 2 mile at ,what he thinks is, HMP? dude is in serious trouble
1 month until London!! 🇬🇧 🎉 Achilles feels cured 🕺 Haha just joking, can barely feel pain when running. But I’m under no illusion it’ll just get getter. So I’ll embrace the 3 month rehab from June onwards.
As it stands I’d like to go for through half at London in 71 mins and then take it from there.

Guess who, also LOL
I just don't understand. Is Bester injured or not? I had a horrible achilles injury when I was 29. Luckily avoided surgery, but there was no way I was able to run, I could barely walk for a few months without crutches. Took me two years to bounce back fully.
Is he faking it or just stupid / chowing down on pain meds? He's like the runtuber version of that Australian wellness influencer who faked a brain tumour.
Just like that, Bester's achilles is cured. Simply amazing. His body should be studied.
Bester, master of flesh and mind, is not beholden to the structural constraints of feeble mortals, and can inhabit various recovery timelines at will such that he may manifest both a half-baked excuse and a substantial appearance fee.
The speedsuit lends him the appearance of a human form, but never it's true essence.

They actually would do good YouTubing if they wanted to do a few high quality low frequency ones, unlike most rubbish out there. I’d be interested in seeing the lab testing process and a bit of a deep dive into it from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. Great podcast.
Phily’s new video is a roadmap of how she will get to the 2028 Olympics. Never knew there was an influencer version of the Olympics
I know snark is the primary currency in this thread (and I'm certainly no stranger to it) but f*** it, fair play for putting it out there and having a lofty goal.
I don't think she'll get there but good luck to her trying to prove me wrong.

Also way more likely she makes that goal than Truett "PEDs" Hanes or blowhard Bloberg. Still probably only a 1% chance for her, but that's one more percent than the other two morons have
In other news, it seems Matt "Big Jail time in Japan" Fox has finally burned bridges with probably his most stalwart buddy, Luke. Both have unfollowed each other on Strava, and someone asked about him on the latest Sweat Elite podcast with Matt responding that Luke is "focusing on other things for now."
This is a guy who stuck with Foxy through his jail stint. What in the world type of crazy sh*t did he do to finally alienate Luke?!?

Agree. She has a shot if she stays fit. Lots of nonsense to wade through here , but when it comes to running she has decent pedigree.
She needs luck , get rid of injury and a few to focus on majors , but can put herself in the window for selection. Anyone slagging her here on purely running could probably be up for selection for an Amsterdam window and not much more .
Not exactly rooting for her, but if she managed it then all power to her.

Probably more of a question of what didn't he do when it comes to Matt Fox.

With the best will in the world, she had a single outlier marathon which is her single elite performance. She's a talented runner; however, she must know she has next to 0 chance of qualifying.
She's putting the goal out there more for the drama/story that her fans will invest in. If anyone can explain how she has a shot, I'd like to hear it. I just don't see how she could truly believe she can do it.
