I'm sure they will hire someone else who has family to support. A man's need to have a job, unfortunately, is rarely a factor in hiring and firing decisions.

Probably mentioned earlier but I can't find it: Cornell is looking for a jumps coach for men and women.
Word is that the Big Red are looking for someone who can handle *all four* jumps. (And the 24/7/52 that is recruiting in the Ivy League). They seem to be making a real emphasis on the four-jumps thing. So a decathlon competitor/coach might have an inside track. But in any case it's gonna be someone who's truly competent in coaching the pole vault (as well as HJ/LJ/TJ).

I think SeattleU thought that they could get back to the glory days of Elgin Baylor and take a deep run into the NCAA basketball tournament, or at the very least, compete with Gonzaga and Washington. Until the basketball program does something and put some butts in the seats, good luck with the track/XC program (they just got a new AD a few months ago and they fired MBB coach Cameron Dollar), because I just don't see them getting much more funding than what that program is getting.Can't substantiate it, but got the feeling that many high school coaches in Washington didn't think too much about the Steidls to warrant steering their kids there. The results showed--most of the state's D2 programs were better than SeattleU.

After reading the article, looks like a dead end job with no support from admin. Track hasn't been resurfaced in 15 years?! I would imagine after all those years in the Hawaiian sun it looks like garbage.
nichols state head coach resigned. i wonder if admin at uh is so bad it caused vault coach to quit aswell

Is the Nichols resignation real? I have not seen no post
New coach promoted at MSU-Moorhead....replaces Darren Schneider after 4 years, though not a single mention of him in the release...kind of odd.
