Her average HR for the gravel ride was close to 150, she spent an hour in Z3. Her Zwift rides are in a different league. I’m telling you from someone who rides, but I dont feel that compelled to convince a stranger on the internet. I know it’s whack and figured I would call her out. It’s just another example of them cheating and lying for acceptance.
"uh.." is right. There's no red flag. She had a baby 2 months ago. I just looked at her Strava and she said she removed the power meter from her gravel bike during her pregnancy. You must have never used Zwift because you can ride harder on a trainer because you don't have to worry about traffic or signals or surface or turning.
Sorry, you're wrong. Anyone who spends a lot of time on Zwift + rides outdoors can see the misrepresentation in both of their numbers. Megan is just as bad as David in all aspects. As has been said before, it's likely their kickr is one of those lucky one's that over reports by ~30 watts (which is also why they ride only that one trainer, when they have 2 other trainers and a $3000 kicker bike). Megan has admitted she fudges her weight, because how dare someone expect a woman to change her weight. It's just a game and doesn't matter -- but she sure loves to brag about all her QOM and Green Jerseys -- which are directly tied to that weight number. Even outdoor power meters are quite easy to inflate, given who and what these two are I wouldn't trust any number from either of them unless a professional calibrated and timed them. Let's hear it Claude, give us another retort that no one wants to read.
Yep, she hides her outdoor power data - I've seen it uploaded and then immediately hidden. I think what's most egregious here, aside from the inflated data, is the fact that if they used their honest data they would still be fantastic athletes. It makes it even more embarrassing that they need that edge via fake workouts. Can't be above average, have to be the best. But results don't matter and "David doesn't give a sh*t about Wester States" 🙄

That’s not how power meters work. You can’t remove them. They are literally integrated into the crankshaft of the bike (or pedals if you’re using the garmin setup).

i still don't see a red flag here, but... removing the power meter is a bit odd. they are typically in the pedals/crank so would be odd to remove (and put in a new pedals/crank). maybe she meant it's off or perhaps the battery died. still think this is the wrong tree to sniff.

you can quite easily swap out the pedals for pedal based power. takes me about 1 minute to do so when i want to transfer my favero assioma pedals from road to tt bike.
Oh, he didn’t just squat 225. No, in college he used all the plates, and the bar would often bend under the weight. His words, not mine.
You're kidding, right? If serious, where did he say this?
“And every time I lift up the weight for the first time, I'm like, this is literally a million pounds. I'm the strongest boy on earth.
You're grunting like an NFL player with like stacks and stacks and stacks of weight. How much did you squat in college?
Oh, so much.
Yeah.
I mean, just like all the plates is insane. The bar would bend, you know, the normal thing.”

I mean I am a female athlete who also squatted so much the bar would bend in college and now squat like 110lbs on a good day because I've become way more endurance focused... so this really isn't that crazy of a claim haha
Claude, which exaggeration are you admitting to here?
Too bad you deleted the post, David. I finally felt like Claude was starting to get somewhere with his analysis! Let's not pretend it's not you. Who else so gratuitously throws around so many high, middle, and low-brow cultural references unprompted into the same jumbled mess of writing? It's got your sticky fingerprints all over it!
But back to your point, which has since been deleted. Yes, I do think that lying is a sin. In this context, it's a venial sin, as the Catholics would say. But it's a sin nonetheless.
And for your sins, there is only one proper penance. Show up at the Niwot track. Have your YouTube friends bring a camera. Line up one relay exchange zone behind the start line. Run those first 410 in 61. Find yourself at 600 in 1:32 or so, and then watch the fade begin. Maybe you'll make it 800 in 2:05. Lap 3 will be a 70-something. And then the true bear crawl will begin, if you have the courage to continue. Admit to the world how far you really are from sub-4 shape at altitude. That's the only way to atone for your sins.
If you have the courage to do that, you will have earned my respect. And if not, well, then you're just another huckster.
You guys are being asses for no reason. Joking about a deadly mental health disorder taking David's life negates any claims that you actually care about the fact that you think David has lied to people through coaching or whatever. You don't have to like them and you can even think they're lying about how fast a workout is, but being a decent person is still an option. Not cool and shows your true colors more than any of these skeptic theories show anything about David or Megan.
I think he needs to watch more of Timothee Chalamet's movies, because his acting needs a little work. A few questions (1) Do you think he'd be rolling around in the snow if the camera wasn't there? (2) Where was his iPhone + Strava app? (3) Why does he think he is the only one who works hard and goes into the proverbial pain cave? As someone who wants to show such love to the trail running community as a whole, he sure talks down to them. (4) Does anyone actually watch this crap for anything but to rage post about what a narcissist David is? I haven't seem more than a few clips, but it just seems to be David running around, spouting nonsense? Is the Feed and the dude filming happy with the outcome?
The people who watch it because they are good people who support David are not the ones ripping him apart on the internet, but are the vast majority of people who watch it!

Claude AI/Not David?
It’s all so over the top it comes across like an SNL skit. He’s got the hobby joggers gobbling it up somehow, there must be a big market for gullible people.

They’re not gobbling it too hard though. Video 2 is 20,000 views behind video 1. Video 3 is a further 10,000 views behind that. Let’s hope that trend continues until The Feed pulls the plug on funding.
Unbreakable, which is David’s reference point, is at 2.1 million views. Turns out people enjoy an actual documentary that is centered around likable characters.
Is the Feed and the dude filming happy with the outcome?
David be like, “you all will be so slow and suck unless you consumer SiS gels at the rate of $24.00 an hour. SHOP THE FEED!” And the camera guy is getting paid. I’m sure both are pleased.
