If you were really so concerned with what's best for the diverse teams, then you would be the loudest advocate for hiring THE MOST QUALIFIED APPLICANT.

Hiring someone just for their ability to check an HR box does a disservice to the people you claim you care about.

Despite being one of the better nescac schools- pay, budget, and admin support is terrible.

There is rumored to be more to that story. I’ve heard that the AD screwed him over and the program in the process. It’s 2nd hand info but other stuff I’ve heard makes that seem plausible.

Newsflash...most of the sport is POC and women....and they are QUALIFIED! Only white guys think they should be in charge.

Not looking internal, it’s a national search for a director of men’s and women’s xctf. They aren’t looking for any specific area of expertise, will hire the best fit and then hire more full time coaches to fill the event expertise the director doesn’t have

Not true, he left(was let go) due to internal issues and some other issues. They couldn’t wait until the end of the season, when he would have been gone anyways

Assistant distance was let go, head coach of xctf “stepped down” , jumps coach is moving out of the Boston area

Bob Braman needs to ship up to Boston. With sons named Steven and Tyler...no brainer. Braman, Carpenter and field coaches would make more noise on an NCAA national level

I just know that there was rumblings of the school being in a hard place where they would normally move on from a coach who has had the pattern of results over the last few years, and so this may be a good compromise so they did not have to fire him
