Harris is an excellent choice to come Home with her. He knows the SEC and can coach.

Usually assistants are on a yearly contract.

Caryl has definitely OFFERED him the distance coach job at Georgia. I have been told by someone close to the situation that he IS taking the job, but that's still unofficial.
Considering his good relationship with Caryl and the fact that he's from Georgia, I can't see why he would turn it down.
That would mean he would take over XC too. Does he even have much experience there???
Georgia like USC will have no cross country program to speak of it will put their money into the sprints and jumps just like USC

Yes, he has lots of years experience coaching XC. Has he had much success with XC? No.
Harris is mainly an 800 coach. If he gets a decent 1500 or 5k runner once in a while, that's fine. But he focuses mainly on recruiting and training 800 runners, especially 400/800 runners who can also run a leg on the 4x4. Runners like this year's 800 champ, Isaiah Jewett, or this year's 800 7th place finisher Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete, who he used to coach.
