I thought she spoke pretty clearly, ala centro, was open about her medical history (didn't hide behind "medical privacy"), answered with unambiguous statements, and seems like a straight shooter. Can't say I fault her if she never saw anything, sure seems like the NOP is tiered around a) Rupp (& maybe farah) and b) everyone else. I'm starting to understand why everyone has the same story, salazar seems tied to the golden one and almost ignores everyone else. For those too lazy to read the article, she flat out said she's never seen Dr Brown (unlike a certain US 1500m runner), never had a transfusion, IV, or TUE. That last part surprised me, nowadays seems like everyone has a TUE, if she truly has never even had one, I think that speaks as strongly as anything. Very surprising considering the reputation NOP has for TUE's, but i don't think she's dumb enough to say it if someone could leak something to show otherwise, so I'm assuming it's true. How much contact does Jordan actually have with Salazar? From all appearances she's basically in CA full-time now and has been for a couple of years now (ever since her mother died?) She's said elsewhere that running professionally for Nike was her lifelong goal but she's not on-campus full-time or rarely at all?

So did she witness or overhear something that made her uncomfortable and she's distancing herself without breaking ties with Nike? In another interview she said that she and Salazaar sat down after her poor pro track career and had the talk about parting ways with NOP if her times didn't turn around. Was she refusing to buy-in to some of Salazaar's shenanigans?

Another poster said she was homesick but she went to Oregon for college and then signed on to presumably remain in Oregon as a pro so how homesick could she really be? (Unless it was triggered by the unexpected loss of her mother).

In her interview with RunnersWorld it made it sound like for the most part she designs and conducts her own workouts, so how hands-on was Salazaar really? I thought the consensus was that he was a micromanaging control freak?

And where is Mary Cain in all of this? Surely she has a few thoughts on the ban...

Hasay spoke with amazing calmness in her pre-race interview.

I think there have been some dark clouds. One of the dark clouds has been the misleading presentation of these stories by multiple media sources.

I would have loved to hear Hasay say something like this to a reporter-

You know I have not had time to study the report yet. What do you mean when you speak about "trafficking"?

And who is it that Alberto "trafficked" testosterone to? And what did they do with it? And perhaps if she were to ask- what was the story with the l-carnatine. Was he banned because of the l-carnitine? Or was be banned because there are rules against infusions of any substance at certain volumes? Wouldn't he have been banned for an infusion of water of the same volume?

I'm not going to say Salazar is innocent. Though he is clearly innocent of much the story which the media has spun through implication. (well not clearly innocent but there is no clear evidence to the contrary. Which i think many would find troubling were they to be accused and convicted with a similar lack of evidence. ) I find the dark cloud of the way the media reported these stories,and the dark cloud of what the basic man on the street is willing to accept as "irrefutable evidence", much more frightening.

This whole line of thought is dumb whether used to make or defend against doping accusations.

That literally doesn't make sense. So if we're not going to assess a runner by their performances we're going to look at... Their haircuts?

Trusting that what you are watching from NOP and likely the rest of the elites is no different than trusting cyclists on the Tour de France, it's pretty pathetic and unfortunate. For all of the crap that the LetsRun crowd gives "hobby joggers" I find far more inspiration from friends setting PR's than elite athletes cheating their way to the top.

Any result from any nike athlete is basically meaningless. They have polluted the sport so drastically that we can't trust even what high school kids are doing. Hobby joggers rule.

Possible. After all, every single E. African - including transplants like Hassan or those training in the US (before they visit the Dark Continent to refuel on the way to the DL or championships) is doped. Every. Single. One. And they're protected by a lot of officials who take the shekels to look the other way or hide test results. Not even arguable at this point.

Not seeing Dr. Brown does NOT mean she did not listen to Salazar and refused his prescriptions. Quote from one interview with her nutrition company:

That is a LOT of stuff she is taking (far more than the Vitamin D, iron and multivitamin mentioned in her article), and while nothing of it is on the anti-doping list it is clear that Salazar pushed her to reach the 70-80 value for Vitamin D (standard ideal is >35), enough omega 3, etc. This is also just what she listed from Thorne, she is likely using MUCH more stuff which is more into the grey or even forbidden area but does not make it public. She literally went from being a 15 mid/31:30 runner to the best HM/marathon runner in the whole states after she joined NOP.

I feel sorry for you.
