Exactly. If you look at their pedirgrees, whose performances by far are more suspicious? The past 30 years of running would say it's Jager all the way. White guys don't need to dope to run 2:09. They definitely need to dope to medal at steeple.

Because of the coach's history, because of the investigation by USADA, because of the concerns voiced by many former associates...because none of those are present in both cases? One factor being the same doesn't make all the factors the same. I'm not suspicious of Rupp because his name is on a list, I'm suspicious due to a myriad of other issues. I imagine the pros and I are not alone in that.

Shalane and Meb are on the inside. They associate with a bunch of professionals, agents, race directors, etc. People talk behind closed doors. When a lot of people seem to be saying the same things it's very difficult to publicly praise those people that are getting torn apart by those in the inner circle.
It's not that hard to understand what's going on. NOP is not trusted by anyone in the industry, but most everyone does their best to be politically correct while also communicating they don't support them.
So tell me again about the evidence that Hasay is doping, Shalene? Are you and Kara keeping that secret for some reason?

I get what you're saying and agree to an extent, but just want to point out that we now know that some in Schumacher's group have also been using thyroid meds. Not a smoking gun and technically legal, but Salazar does not have a monopoly on the grey zone.
There’s much more to the cloud around Salazar than thyroid meds from Dr Brown and a list from Fancy Bears.

Shalane's value to Nike is at an end. One thing about the Shoe business, is you move on to the next thing without emotion. The next thing is Jordan . Nike and NOP are admired by more people than detractors , just not on this site. After NY marathon , I can see Shalane wearing Hoka's .
Bad marathon in NY for Shalane and I can see LannyC's prediction come true. Nike will show favor towards Jordan after that. She now is a big super star and Nike now knows this. I think she deserves it because she is such a decent young woman. If Paula and Joan know it, Nike definitely knows it.

Americans are good at eating their own. Rupp has been a true professional, and respectful towards other American runners, and those he competes against. Without coaches like AlSal, American running would be nowhere, and this forum would be whining like babies about why the US sucks so much at running. It's a fu@#$%-up world in athletics, and until chages are made at the top, this is how it gets done. Meb and Shalane should stfu.

Meb and Shalane have had great careers and I'm glad they answer questions posed of them honestly instead of giving robotic fluff responses.
