I don't know much about the CAS arbitration but know enough about the world to know the arbitration panel heard two biased presentations and probably had no real understanding of the issues and made a ruling (saying people shouldn't have to take hormone therapy) that makes sense regardless of anything to do with athletics. People shouldn't be forced to lower their testosterone just like they shouldn't be forced to raise it (which would be a consequence of allowing peds). Their ruling did not have anything to do with whether or not sexual classifications in athletics need definitions or expansions or reductions
As a woman, I see Semenya as a cheat. Semenya's only qualification to being female (given that she has internal testes, is biologically male, has XY chromosomes, has a male phenotype, etc.) is that Semenya was raised as a girl and increasingly finds running as a woman financially profitable.
Its clear that the female runners Semenya comes into contact with don't view Semenya as a female, or as an honest competitor.
No-one is suggesting Semenya lowers her testosterone levels, just that Semenya should race against the other men. Why is Semenya so afraid of this?
The CAS ruling is temporary, they are monitoring evidence to clarify whether testosterone makes a significant enough difference to justify different categories of competition. Seriously - the entire history of humans, our understanding of biology etc has not reached such a level where courts are able to understand if testosterone makes a difference to performance!
All the criticism of Sharp etc for being women and white is disgusting. I mean, how dare they be women and expect to have ambitions to winning medals in their event, in their disgusting feminine state? They should be more like men, have higher testosterone, bigger muscles, bigger bones, bigger lungs! Of course they should! Merely being the fastest women in their home countries is meaningless!
A cheat? Sorry but Caster was born with a vagina. In some parts of the world, that is what determines whether a child is a boy or a girl (strange concept, I know. Her internal biological makeup means nada to her parents.
