It's not, at least for me, hate but not being professional. The whole idea that we can "know" what the clean records are is a little ridiculous to me. There are some clear outliers (Soviet Bloc etc.) but Dibaba doesn't look like a man. I have no problem questioning, or being suspicious, of her marks, but the idea that we can look at all of history and in effect determine who the most talented/hard working athlete of all-time is seems a little far-fetched.
I totally agree with this. Its funny how people assume because you dope you are going to be #1. Im sure there are plenty of dopers out there like mo trafeh who doped and were still not internationally viable athlete. Sure he was a good runner but far from winning on the international stage.

Or you could say, Ryun ran sub-4 (outdoors) 50 years ago and only a small handful of kids have done so since. Also, quite a few of us have run fast times while "sick," depending on the type of illness it's not necessarily unusual.

Maybe you've got it wrong and there is no negative implication at all. Maybe we should take the tweet for what it says, rather than fabricate sarcastic implications:

I completely agree. Sure! Why not? I would completely expect someone able to set an indoor world record in the mile, would be expected to be able to run a fast 3K, two days later, if not two hours later.
The women's indoor times are generally weak, while Dibiba has a history of being fast indoors. Her times are not excessively fast, especially given her best performance. If you want to use time to raise suspicion, her outdoor 1500m world record is the one to highlight, not these weaker indoor performances.
In any case, unless there is better evidence than what the BBC/Mark Daly/Epstein/Panorama presented, for me Magness lost a lot of credibility when demonstrating his unawareness of what constitutes an anti-doping violation under the jurisdiction of USADA under the WADA code.

I'm no athlete or coach. Just a hobby jogger at a local store club that employs one of Canada's past Olympic marathoners and another Olympic hopeful. But I've seen the documentaries that shone a light on systemic Russian doping, showed images of Kenyan's lining up for needles in the ass, and brought the IAAF and Coe into hot water. I have absolutely no doubt now that the current marathon world record is a DIRTY one. And having seen the scandal at the NOP and looking around me more, I must admit that I can't give these guys like Genzebe and Rupp the benefit of the doubt anymore (where once I could). That's how low this sport has sunk. The IAAF has hard work to do and a lot of relationships to burn if they're going to save this sport. Whistle blowers like Magness will always come under a lot of criticism, but the investigations and canceled sponsorships from Adidas are good signs that it's time to pull collective heads out of the sand. As far as I'm concerned, until anti-doping systems in all 214 IAAF member federations are truly tight and tough, the burden of proof lies smack on the top performers themselves, not on their skeptics.
