Do guys often get better quality wives (looks-wise) if they wait until closer to age 40 to marry?

You are correct. But the reason this has become a long thread is obvious too. Most guys do not end up becoming rich. Therefore, the average, non-rich guys on this board are going through extensive rationalization processes to convince themselves that this is not true in order to preserve their own egos.

I'm not convinced that it's completely a money thing. Does having money help? Of course, and not by a little. You have to know how to talk to them, how to seduce them, and keep them interested over the long haul which has more to do with personality. Women are social creatures.

I wouldn't say it is a money thing per se. I think women just want to feel like they have a provider and will always be taken care of. Material possessions obviously add to the fun but to have a nice house for a family or being able to vacation whenever is always a perk. The driven qualities of a man attract women and if they are successful then even more the satisfaction.

Very often this IS the case. The reason? Women from 18-30 will usually only date guys the same age or older. This also means that as a 40 year old man, you'll likely have your pick from girls from like 25-40. Girls in their 20s are good because they're passed the teen ages and you have a better idea of their health habits (there are a lot of girls who might have been really hot in high school but their health habits so poor that they look like crap by age 25-30).

If I ain't got swag then it's a different story
