I'd hazard a guess it's the fact there aren't any fast 10,000's between now and Moscow that leave enough time to recover.
There is zero chance Hasay and Erdmann are running the 10 on July 15; there's 10% chance they'll run it on July 14; there's 90% chance they'll run it on July 19, which is what the alternate date was all along. Hasay will certainly run the "B" and I think the "A". Erdmann will also certainly run the "B" and maybe the "A". She was out a fair amount of time in late winter/early spring.

You're right, but coach d meant there's a good chance they win the "contest" of going to worlds because Hasay and Erdmann don't get the standard, as a jab at Salazar's athletes because he, a fellow coach, is jealous of Alberto

Good point. From junior high to the elite level, if you have to bend the rules to get someone in they don't belong there.
Perhaps, but the plucking of the duck (meaning getting the standard for one or both) will irritate the hell out of all the haters. I hope they do it, and will gleefully bask in the bitching and moaning of the haters. If they don't get the standard, at least they will have given all they have in the trying--something haters will never understand.

Worked fine at Hilsdale this year when that D3 girl got away with officially running 34:07 or something like that...
Both Hasay and Erdmann say they are in shape to run the 'A' Standard (31:45). It could happen, but I'll believe it when I see it...Hasay has to run her 5K PB (15:37) back to back!
