I personally think that's a serious running time you're doing for 2 miles. I know guys who are in their 20s and can't run that fast. I'm 35 and not near that time.
Could you help me?? I'm in the military and my time is 13 mins 2 mile..
What is your weekly mileage and how is it broken up?? I'd love to get to your fitness level.
Any help would be much appreciated.

That is precisely what happened to me. I ran well until 45 and a few days then declined until 49 then precipitously . I fell into a crevasse at age 51.
I'm 46. Sounds like my next 5 years are going to be a kick in the pants lol
From 29 to 34 I ran my fastest. Around age 42 or 43 I noticed that my easy pace dropped to 8:30’s when every easy pace run in my 30’s was 7:45 (heart rate around 133 usually).
I cannot believe how slow I am now at 45. Logged a few 70 mile weeks last year and ultimately got injured and was posting atrocious work out times.
7:10 pace feels like a tempo run. I look back at some of my old logs and couldn’t believe I was able to just casually crank out a 5 miler at 6:40 pace in the middle of winter at 5am.
