Ritz will get excited, make a stupid Hall-like surge mid race, and then fade the last 5K.

Anyone else read the story about Ritz's prep?
The thing that worries me is all the miles on grass/soft surfaces.
If Ritz is not used to running on Tarmac then he may have problems dealing with the hard surface. surely Salazar has taken this into account and some of the prep has been done on the road to prepare the legs for the pounding.
I hope this is the case and he pops a good one, Ritz has been an inspirational athlete over the last decade plus when he gets it right.
(particular special moments for me were the world xc junior bronze, which I saw in person;
the sub 13 on the track at a time when it wasn't just so common for white guys
and the 60 flat 3rd place in the world half on a tough course in Birmingham which I don't think has ever got the credit it was due)

I'll be manning the aid station at Mile 16 -- right where Ritz gets dropped.

I like Ritz, and I'd love to see him mixing it up at the front, but I'd put my money on a 30 or so second PR: 2:09:25
