Is there a way to test for douche bags? Oh wait doing push ups before the finishing line- No test needed. As for the justification taking EPO shame on you. Many athletes have injuries or setbacks and if it is too big of an injury to come back from they retire like any good athlete with integrity would do. You think you "deserved" to take EPO and get back in it? How about actually training hard and go live at altitude and do it the legal natural way? Going through all that hassle and energy spent on smuggling drugs back to the US really?! If you would have trained as hard as you cheated maybe you could have done it clean the way. No matter the circumstances NO ONE has the right or deserves to cheat. If there is only one person that toes the line clean that makes you a cheater and therefore you have an unfair advantage over your opponent. Makes you wonder how many athletes just missed out on making an Olympic Team, Winning a major race, etc...how many clean athletes dreams have been shattered by someone who cheated and took that from them? Not accusing anyone who has made a team but does make you wonder who did it clean and who did it dirty.

This would be awesome and needs to happen. Penalty has to be greater than the benefit of doing wrong. Hesch is small potatoes, but the principle is the same as Lance Armstrong. Made millions off cheating, and if he's allowed to keep it, cheating makes rational sense, financially-speaking.
I'd guess j2scoop (the 29-year-old lawyer that was upset & calling him a piece of sh*t) might be happy to do this or help arrange this lawsuit with the proper attorney pro bono if there is not enough money involved.

Id consider filing a pro bono small claims action in a Jersey venue on behalf of anyone who claims they were owed $ as a result of his shenanigans in NJ. I can't speak to the likelihood of collection, which i would ballpark at under 25%, but that's not the point, right? I would imagine though, based on his results page, that the bulk of actionable claims in past four years would be proper in Cali.
If there's enough interest ill put something together. Id need info from claimants, the races, location of them, results, and winnings. RDs would be helpful as well. Small claims jurisdiction limits is $3,000 and under i believe in NJ.
I am aware of 2 NJ road mile races that Hesch won with prize money. Teammates of mine placed 2nd in both.

You may have sue/join the race & RD as well though. Ill dispense with the theory behind it. It's thorny and probably won't win, but i understand taking a shot at this. I'll monitor this post for a few, see what happens. If there's any way i can get some specifics etc. ill see if i can contact a person or two, see where it goes.
Id like to find one nominal south jersey claimant. Courts can be creative sometimes so you never really know.
