Lagat's experience really helped him get in position to tke down the record. Solinsky was getting bumped around a bit towards the end as runners jockeyed for position. Awesome run by both!

US distance running is just getting sick the last year or two. Such a great thing to see.
I'm not a big Lagat fan but I think this is great. This crop of guys is going to push eachother under 12:50 in the next couple years potentially.

Who woulda thought solinski would be a 12:56 and 26:59 guy 3 months ago?
Kipchoge is fried? 13:09. chepkok ran ok, though, so maybe just a bad night for Kipchoge.
Notice the name Salel? That's the 2nd?3rd? placer from the 10000 at Stanford where Solinsky ran his big race.
