How would a team like University of Oregon have done at this race? Think they could have won?

Apparently extremely cold and windy conditions....no telling how anyone would do on a day like this. Extreme speculation on anyone who wasn't there.

Won? They would have dominated. D1's is much more competitive overall than club nationals.

Bauhs and carlson were in the 30:40's and braden was 31:00 for third, great times considering the cold and insane wind.

What's Forest Braden been up to these last couple/few years? It seemed like he was at Boise State forever (it was probably only five years, but it still seemed like a long time), but since he left I haven't seen many (any?) results from him This is a really solid performance for him.

Forrest was at team indiana elite last year and also ran great at club cross. This year he is helping coach at gonzaga

The men's open had the most brutal conditions of any race. The temp had dropped to 24, with windchill making it close to 10-15. There were indeed gusts of over 35 mph several times. Several straightaways were pure wind walls, what a race.

The snow had just started lightly falling, blowing sideways of course 10 minutes before the race. I can't recall if it snowed during the race, because my face froze 600 meters in :)

I really don't understand what the USATF is thinking, a supremely mucked up organization.

I seriously doubt they are making a video of club nationals because I can't imagine anyone actually buying it. Heck I don't think anybody who raced today (including Bauh's and Carlson) would even watch it.

If you look on Flotrack, there are videos from 2007 USATF Outdoor Nationals including full races of the men's 10k and women's steeple...yet there can't be more than 2 minutes of video of club nationals? That doesn't make sense...

If there are true, then props you you Conto. You put up with a lot of crap (probably deserved because, let's face it, you're a jerk), but MTC showed up this year. Nice job running in the slop.

In February 2006 at the Ice Bowl in Van Cortlandt Park, Max King earned significant admiration for racing in shorts and singlet. This race sounds far worse. Did Max go minimalist again?

I saw Bauhs at 30:47, Andrew Carlson at 30:49, possibly Forrest Braden at 31:00.

Master's men won by Simon Guiterrez (33:50).

Master's women Carmen Ayala-Tronco (don't have her time).

Women's open race Rebecca Donahue ((don't have her time either).

They should have had results hours ago.

Conditions were very cold, windy, footing was not too bad. wish I had worn 1/2" spikes instead of 1/4.

Bauhs exactly 3:00 off his 10K track PR and he may be in better shape now should give you an indication of the difficulty of the course.

Bauhs may be in better shape, but he didn't run the equivalent of a 27:47. The race was not a balls to the wall from the start effort. No 13:50 through 5k effort. Braden is not in 28:00 shape. No 3 minute conversions going on here.

the timing group they hired was good, they had results immediately after the race. I know USATF has rules, and while I figure the timing company could put results up we wait for USATF to put it on their site. and we wait. and wait. and wait.

good job to the organizers of the meet. as an athlete and as someone who has put on a USATF Club XC meet in the past everything went well despite the terrible weather. I had a blast! I know that 99% of the work is done by the local organization in charge.

I truly believe that this sort of competition needs more attention from the USATF - these clubs are the heart of the organization and the people that represent these clubs and come are essential to the development of distance running and track and field in general.

oh yeah, great job to RunnerSpace for showing and trying to get coverage.

I heard Jason McCullough won the meet with a 59th place finish, or was it DNF? I can't remember.

I heard he won by -3:00. He ran so fast he ran the course twice, that's why he's in the back of the results, it didn't record his finish the first time through.

I'm really happy that they had results right after the race. But it's now 10:00PM EST and they still haven't even put up the women's results, let alone the men's results. I have no idea how the women's teams did today. Can anybody help?

Regarding posting results on a timely basis - another typical example of how responsive the USATF is to its members.
