Klim coaching at Akron

They just won the Bowling Green Invitational with a apx. 30 second spread.

Klim sucks. His training sucks and he is a douche. You know those guys have been doing 400s all year? His 800 meter group is a joke too.

I am predicting Headman gets to National's though. When was the last time Akron had a male runner at NCAA's in cross country?

1. i seriously doubt they have been doing 400 meter repeats all season long. and what does the 800 meter group have to do with anything? 2. headman's success/failure(or the team's for that matter) have little to do with klim. give him so time and then we can see what kind of coach he is.

Irritated...you're obviously Klim or some relative. Rick Williamson was liked by his athletes because he was a good coach and cared about their success. He made each runner better whether you were a 4:10 miler (Dave Pykare) or a 6:00 miler (Andrew Adam). Liking him had nothing to with hanging out or despising mitchell. You need to get over yourself. The guys hate Klim because he doesn't give a shit about them. He tells them they suck, calls them names, and never sticks up for them. He also has absolutely no idea what it takes to be a distance runner. CC is over and he did nothing. Get off Williamson's back, he was a million times the coach you or Klim could ever be.

So basically what you're saying is that the Akron team is a bunch of little babies.

When Klim was coaching at my school, he'd get in our faces and let us know when we were f*cking up. He'd get all riled up and scream sometimes. And this is how we knew he actually cared about us and how we performed.

I doubt he comes out and tells them they "suck", but I'm sure he's vocal about being displeased with the athletes not living up to their potential. It's rather obvious you are either one of his athletes, or a parent (or someone affiliated with the Akron track program).

To Mr. Completely Wrong:

Williamson was a complete ass?@#$ to everyone. He liked to criticize other MAC programs, but never did crap. Williamson came out of the same philosophy of another Akron distance coach that was fired for incompetence. Don't know Klim. Give him a chance to either sink or swim. Changing the culture at Akron will take time, and maybe he has to be a hardass to the runners since they haven't done much.
