Keeping in mind that Wilkinson has a better lifetime best that Beamish....just stating the facts.
Wilkinson is improving, Beamish is not. Rooks--lost cause
I do not think Rooks is a lost cause. I would not be at all surprised if he “pulls a Kenneth” again in 2028. I think maybe he is one of those athletes that can only bring out his best when the stakes are high for him. He doesn’t seem as motivated by DL races. That is just my impression. I do not think he is done.
Mondo just interviewed and told it feels very strange to not win, and especially in Stockholm after 40 straight wins. He thinks he is little out of concentration when he will get married next week .
Meanwhile the guy that he somehow pushed to the absolute limit to win the Olympic title, El Bakali, basically walks over the line 20 seconds up the track in a race that wasn't even that quick.
I do not get it.
Mondo's world record is 6.31 but he couldn't clear 6.00 today. They're humans not robots.
Are you comparing Kenneth Rooks to Mondo Duplantis?!
Since Paris in 2024, Mondo has won every meet he's entered until today, won a world outdoor and world indoor title and broke the WR six times.
I think we can give Mondo one bad day - you might want to look at KR's performances over the last 18 months before getting into this debate
