The police have basically given him a free pass all these years until now. How many times can he crash or flip vehicles (four times) before they actually charge him with anything? It is sad to see what he's made of his life since his philandering caught up with him in 2009 and he fled his wife's golf club. He is struggling and the next time he might not survive.

Martin County Sheriff's Department DUI investigators on the scene determined Woods showed signs of impairment.
"They did several tests on him," Budensiek said. "Of course, he did explain the injuries and the surgeries that he had. We did take that into account, but they did do some in-depth roadside tests."
The investigators arrested Woods and transported him to the Martin County Jail. The sheriff said Woods' breathalyzer test didn't show any signs of alcohol. Woods refused to submit to a urinalysis test for other drugs, according to the sheriff.
"He is cooperative, but he was not trying to incriminate himself," Budensiek said. "So, he was careful in what he said and didn't say."

Don’t know what he was on, but I had an episode with him where multiple times in a one week period he was found completely passed out on the street in the late night/early morning on a mix of alcohol and drugs, añd had to physically carry him with someone from his team to his hotel suite. He has been in bad shape this way for a long time. Whatever he is addicted to nobody around him is telling him no or getting him properly in rehab.

Tiger was clearly lost in life after his father passed away. Tiger said that he cheated on Elin because he thought he was entitled to be with lots of women after spending many years focused on golf. Then, when Tiger should have just faded away from golf and had to finally grow up, he shocked the golf world by winning the Masters in 2019. After that, all was forgiven and Tiger was back as the most popular golfer in the world.
I think that contributed to Tiger becoming a complete a@@hole. He just thought that he was exempt from the consequences that normal people face in life. So, he ends up driving 80 mph around curves and nearly kills himself. He passes a tampon to Justin Thomas during a round as a joke and ends up again pissing everyone off at him for cheating on Elin.
Now, he is clearly addicted to pain killers. During an interview at a TGL match, Tiger was shaking and sweating profusely. He was obviously coming down from something. And it has been reported that Tiger won't hire a driver because he thinks he is just fine to drive. This is just a guy who has always gotten what he has wanted in life and faced with the consequences of losing his ability to play golf and his family with Elin has just been adrift and popping pain pills.

Addiction to pain killers can be far worse than alcohol and the thought that one drives well while abusing either is not an uncommon thought. A regional director I at one time reported to (although not at the time of his final undoing) was involved in multiple accidents and mishaps including with women other than his wife due to dependence on pain killers and mixing it with alcohol. He eventually died from his body simply giving out. I'm sure there was a medical term for it but those of us who knew him said he basically shook himself to death. He was 55.

Yep. Addicted to painkillers I'd imagine. Living recklessly, maybe checked out mentally and cognitively distorted. Doesn't care if he dies or hurts himself. As an addict I can relate to his problems.
