bubba wallace finished 11th in the series, won a race last year. if you're gonna say some dude is a scrub, it's the guy with a full season seat finishing 36th in the series, with no finish higher than 20th in any race. but he's white and you were regaling us with tales of racial woe.

As a black person, the state of US sprinting is embarrassing. We have Kerley getting arrested multiple times an then bragging about being in a diversion program as if it means he's not guilty - Bracy and Kerley serving doping related bans and immediately signing up for the Enhanced Games - Sha'Carri and Coleman fighting, speeding, carrying drug paraphernalia and arguing with cops. On the other end of the spectrum, we have the cheeseball anime king, fake af Lyles and his grinning teeth. Is there no one we can look to for normalcy?

Sha'Carri manages to make the mainstream news once a year or so (pot/Olympic miss, kicked off airplane, girlfriend drama, DV arrest at airport, speeding arrest). She is one of the most followed, recognized, and 'rewarded' track athletes in the USA. Is it true there's no such thing as bad publicity?
driving 104 and tailgating is the easiest way to kill innocent people. getting caught smoking weed was one thing, but this is absolutely unjustifiable and unforgivable.
Just sad to watch. I feel bad for her. Hope she cleans up her act.
Cleans up her act? What don't people get about characters like her? Seriously. And the more everyone bends over backwards to justify her sh-t, and make her believe it's okay because of her gender and skin color, or because her "mom died" or because "she's a Nike role model", the less of a favor it actually does her in the grand scheme of life.
But of course we all know that - even the insufferable supporters of her, most of whom are sheltered white people themselves who believe that feigning support for her exonerates themselves of any shame they might have in their lives surrounding race and privilege.
So can't wait for her to out and about in no time, and everyone to be slobbering all over her like the puppets (and muppets) they are.
