Joanna Hayes hays brought UCLA Last place conference team. There should be a head coaching job opening soon.
This was bound to happen. When Watts was celebrating Joanna Hayes leaving USC it told you a lot. The real issue here is leadership, and UCLA clearly hasn’t had enough of it.
I thought about that as I asked, I figured we would see a coach post his own name, but also figured we might see a post drop a few names and let others decide if they agree, just this year I’ve seen a few NAIA and D3 coaches do well with very little in terms of performance and development
Ive looked at results from many conferences over the years and I’ve seen trends where schools teams improved greatly. then, when I dig deeper I see they have a new/different coach than in the past. If I just go off the top of my head in many cases i can name the school but can’t remember the coaches name.
U of North Dakota I think the coach has been there 3/4 years they’re doing well I don’t know the coach but I know from looking him up he did well at his previous spot but I don’t remember that school.
lousiana lafayette has had someone there for about the same time and that program has dramatically Improved as I used to coach in the sunbelt in the mid 2000s and that school was always at the bottom with distance. They’re good at developing slower runners into faster runners, digging deeper this coach did the same at another school not known previously for distance runners.
liberty has had some solid performers and developed their teams into conference champion caliber teams and many regional qualifiers over the past 5 years. Not sure who the coach is again just going off of results.
I could name more schools if I go back and look at the results again.

the team he had at the prior school was rampantly doping lol, worst kept secret
Triangle.. 25 miles north of Raleigh / Durham M/W Distance and XC position starting immediately! Opportunity to build program from scratch. Possible stipend. Email me
Based on the info, most likely Louisberg College...in which case you might be better off finding a high school gig
Almost assuredly LC since Warren Caldwell just "resigned". To be fair, Jay Koloseus got his start there, but I wouldn't be chomping at the bit for this one.
Hayes just coached an NCAA runner up in the hurdles. UCLA just tied Alabama and Texas at NCAA's, and she beat LSU, UNC, Cal, Duke, Penn State, NAU, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Michigan.
She will have her job at UCLA for a very long time.
From what I saw in Tokyo, that girl completed ignored Joanna. Probably has her own coach pulling the strings. She won’t be there long and neither will you.

One individual women’s qualifier for NCAA’s , Men last place at conference and the one qualifier is a sixth-year athlete with her own coach from the previous regime. That says everything about where UCLA is right now. Under Joanna Hayes, the program has fallen well below expectations. Her days are very well numbered!
