It’s literally that she ran amazing 400s, moved up to the 800, achieved huge success and everything was novel in a relatively short period of time.
Then the grind of racing, interviews, pressure/expectations… it all wears on you. It’s not as fun and novel anymore. You already ran fast, you got the contract. You got married.
She probably has a block to channel the “pure hate” needed to run an 800 well. She is fit enough to pump out a decent 1500 and there weren’t heavy expectations on that race.
She’s mentally toast and doing what she can to keep her contract money flowing while she can
