We merged two threads on the same topic and kept the one started by Rojo as Rojo's was started first and its his website. The 2nd thread was titled, "Random Swede runs 12:44 to smack the Africans and set new European record!?"
You know nothing about the Norwegian Method. Learn not to talk about things you don't know as if you knew about them.
There isn't anything new in training. Labels don't change that. If a new method was discovered that greatly enhanced performance everyone would be using it. They aren't. But we do know what does enhance performance.
You would do well to host a high performance coaching seminar.
”Thank you for coming. In short, we have learned nothing in the last 50 years. I yield the remainder of my time and thank you for attending.”

You probably never heard of lactate testing. That's normal for someone who doesn't follow the sport. Just don't pretend you know what you're talking about.

Everyone including Almgren is using double threshold

Jargon. Training is running. So explain exactly the difference in performance created by "lactate testing".

They aren't. Many of the Africans aren't. Particularly in distance. Ingebrigtsen showed the limitations in this training when he ran the HM. But as a training method it isn't new. Ovett and Coe were doing it in the late '70's.

Competing at running requires endurance, strength and speed. So how has that changed?
No you don't. He doesn't tell you. He doesn't tell you about what else he might do, either.
I havent followed his career at all,but i did know that sweden has one or two world class middle or long distance runners. He's been around a long time, and i dont know if hes doping or not. All i can go by is pics of him. His thin skin looks like its glowing,he's got veins popping out, muscles on a skinny body, and he looks very gaunt, and his face is looking sunken. I've seen that look on russian athletes . What i do know is the shoes give him at least a 10 second advantage, and he's really not a 12.44 runner,at all.
He is likely doing what most other ambitious athletes will do. If he isn't doping how is he now running faster than those who do?

The goals are to increase all but the Devil is in the details, is it not? I’d argue that you would struggle to find a coach with long term success that doesn’t modify their training programme over time, given results, feedback and additional research.
You’re making that case that coaches and physiologists are obsolete and that every middle distance runner should just order themselves a copy of Peter Coe’s book and save themselves the additional cost.
“Close the patent office, for everything that can be invented already has been invented.”
You didn't understand the comment. It requires more than doping. But doping is required on top of training to beat those who do both.
Gordon Pirie Murray Halberg Peter Snell Ron Clarke Billy Mills Jim Ryun Ian Stewart Dave Bedford Dave Wottle Frank Shorter Brendan Foster Sebastian Coe Steve Ovett Steve Cram Steve Scott Peter Elliott Sonia O’Sullivan Nick Willis Jake Wightman Josh Kerr
All of the above bested known drugs cheats in competition. You would argue that they all must have also taken drugs in order to have gotten the better of those known cheats.

Andreas Almgren ran 59:23 in his half marathon debut, with double threshold training and being a training partner of Ingebrigtsen. You would know this if you followed the sport, but you don't.

Yes, not being injured enhances performance.
But doping works even better for an uninjured athlete.

Then you should revisit the Ingebrigtsen HM threads where the prevailing view was that his training didn't suit the longer distance.
