Just tuned in - wtf happened to Pitt's 4x4 on the 4th leg? They looked good midway through the 3rd leg.
Probably has something to do with the "Under Review" - they were in 2nd at the final exchange and their anchor ran a 49.44. Second slowest anchor ran 46.09.

great 5K heats. Birnbaum tried but he ran out of gas. that 1500/5K attempt is tough, especially in that Texas humidity. same for there Young twins, just didn't have it.
Harsh. No guarantees even if you're a 13:16/27:37 guy.
Only 5 spots, Massaoudi snagged one with aggression, the top 2 are at a different level than Kirui. So he was playing with fire starting the last lap with Bosley right behind him.

Harrison ran the fastest 400m in his heat from 1000m to 1400m, made a super hard surge from dead last to first. Led from 1100m to 1400m just to run out of gas. Tactics were a bit too aggressive, he’s obviously in great shape right now.
I suppose he’ll chase a USA standard now.
He basically tanked his race by moving too fast, too early - and it wasn't necessary. He may be in great shape but needs big help with tactics to get the best performance.
Jack Crull from Bradley - I think that dive at the finish saved him. Otherwise, he might not have qualified to go to Eugene! 2nd heat of men's 1500m. West Region.
