To those who laughed at Armstrong's comment on "Kerr being modest", he's right. Kerr is modest. When Kerr said he's the best championship runner, he's just being confident. But confidence doesn't mean arrogance. To stay st the top of the top, you gotta believe you're the best. More importantly, he's indeed the best 1500m championship runner alongside Hocker and has spanked Jakob two championships in a row already.
Jakob stated he's gonna be the greatest distance runner of all time, now that's truly arrogance, and showed a complete lack of self-awareness. He couldn't even break 60 mins in the half marathon, in fact it's slower than Kerr's pb by almost two minutes, meaning he would've got lapped, had the HM been run on the track. On the other hand, he also failed to even medal in his favourite event. He may one day break the 1500m WR, but that would only be because he's got the new shoes and silly light doing the pacing for him, and comes championship, he will always get destroyed by the like of Hocker and Kerr, and perhaps Myer and Ruthe in 2028. (they may get the WR as well, especially Hocker) He would also never be as dominant as Mo farah in the 5k/10k, whose double-double will be far beyond his grasp, never mind the marathon. Yet he still laughably claimed he would be without question the best distance runner in the world. That's arrogant, and downright insulting to the greats who have the achievements to back it up.
