I thought the subject was him defining the limits of human achievement - as he has said he intends to do - not stagnating at 12:48 for the last 3 years.
You have big trouble understanding words...
Precisely. He intends to. Future.
The future doesn't exist. It's in the future. It hasn't happened. What he intends may never happen. I bet he intended to win the 1500 in Paris. It didn't happen.

You struggle with words. I know. There, there.
You are unable to understand what they mean. You've just shown it.
Why didn't he win the 1500 in Paris if he "intended" to?
So still nothing on the thread subject. If what he "intends" for the future determines what he will do how come he lost badly in Paris when he "intended" to win?

Too bad there isn't a 1500 meter B1T[H. ...such stamina. P.S. ...most fans of world-class Track & Field have to be a little crazy to suspend their disbelief and watch on like so many of the top athletes aren't on drugs and cheating in almost any way they can. Yet I believe most cheat, but still manage to enjoy it somehow. ...weight-lifting and Mr Olympia are a step too far though. ...all those people dying young. ...like male hammer-throwers in athletics.
Jakob went full send in a HM just 36 hours after defeating Hocker and Nuguse in the DL 1500 final. It was epic. He stuck with the lead pack and blew up! And yet he managed to set the Norwegian 10K Road record en route.
Always the excuses. 63min - 39th. It wasn't a 10k race and the Norwegian record doesn't mean jacksh*t at a world level.
Not an excuse big dawg—just an accurate account of the events. So what if he got 39th? He already has medals and records. It’s about stepping to the line and competing.

He didn't compete. He floundered. He might as well have entered a 400m race. Maybe that's his "best distance"?

You mean, like Walker didn't compete in Düsseldorf? He floundered? At least Jakob was man enough to finish the race.
