He made mistakes for sure, but even if he showed one of his other fake IDs, cops unlike bouncers at bars can simply check whether it is genuine. His best bet was to claim he didn’t have an ID or to show his real ID to buy some time and search-proof himself, but even so the cop said he knew the moment he pulled his mask down when instructed that he was clearly their guy, so they wouldn’t have let him go far and held him on some contrived pretext. He was basically screwed the moment cops showed up.
