But she served her punishment. Some of you are more forgiving of felons. Should Allie O. go away?
Life is short, if she were spiritually Godly and intelligent she would do well to not return to past wounds. Similarly it’s really immoral and unethical to get back together with your ex. Same logic. It’s just wrong
Shelby will be 32 on February 8th. Her best days as a track athlete are now behind her. She has absolutely no chance now of being a global medalist. That is the price she has paid as an athlete. Shelby might be able to make a World Championship team but she will not make an Olympic team, as she will be too old.
Didn’t stop Jenny Simpson medaling in her 30s.
Jenny got her last medal at age 30. Nobody is disputing this. Shelby will be 32 in February. The world has gotten faster and Shelby has not. She will be progressively getting slower.
I very highly doubt Shelby can get a medal at a WC event. However, I do see her as a serious threat to make a US team in the 5000m. I think the 1500 may have passed her by but the longer events are still within reach.
We will find out in about two months or so what kind of shape she is in.
What? You are wrong. The driver thing for example is straight from the horse's mouth, and the gofundme scam was public. You are poorly informed as always, Rekrunner.
BTW why didn't you donate over $5,000? Rich letsrunner and all-time Shelburrito supporter lol.
I think the main thing that the 'she did her time, let it go' people need to be aware of is that the media has been kind of treating this like a down-on-her-luck story, and I am wary of them treating her return like some inspiring comback story from an "injustice" or "setback". And doing so will be unprecedented since a drug cheat has never been treated like that.
But the running media has been really really gentle and almost enabling of her in these last four years.

The running media likes dopers that live and train in the US. LetsRun is one of the worst offenders for this. Look at Gault’s ridiculous article on Issam Assinga.
Wait, when did Allie O. cheat? I am so confused...
She served a PED suspension earlier this year.
She did not serve a PED suspension. She served a suspension for a diuretic she didn't know was in her acne medication.
"The United States Anti-Doping Agency revealed on Friday a 4-month sanction imposed in April on U.S. athlete Allie Ostrander, who was found to have used a prohibited substance, canrenone, for which she held a prescription for acne medication. Ostrander, 26, accepted the 4-month suspension from USADA in April after she did not file a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) form for the medication. She was given an out-of-competition test on March 30 and her suspension began on April 28. Her acne medication was found to have spironolactone, which is prohibited under USADA and is classified as a Diuertic and Masking agent."

???
That was not me.
People assume that all racists on here are Coevett and all doping supporters are Rekrunner. It’s very weird. Lots off people have stupid opinions.

Oh. Sorry. She only got caught and served a suspension for her masking agent, rather than the PEDs themselves.
She’s obviously lying about the acne medication, just like all dopers lie about how the drugs got into their bodies. Just because USADA covers up violations by American athletes doesn’t mean I have to believe them.
Shelby supporters are not doping supporters. I am against doping. I am against crime also but I employ several felons. I employ adulterers. I employ many people who have done things that I don't agree with.

True. Just look how they are selectively deleting posts in this very thread here to protect this drug cheat.

Why do you even care what the running media thinks about Houlihan? As I posted before, she lost what is likely to have ben the best four years of her career. She also lost over $1M in salary and she said she paid $250K in attorney fees. Are you claiming that the enabling media is encouraging her to resume doping?
It seems that her devastating punishment is not enough for you, and you want everyone to hate her as well.
once her suspension is over she's square with the house again. time to move forward.
considering she lives in Arizona and Mike Smith is starting a Nike team up in Flagstaff it wouldn't surprise me if she goes there.
There is not a lick of a chance Mike smith takes on an athlete who 1) served a doping ban and 2) gas lit the entire running community into doubting the doping system and taking money for a f*cking go fund me rather than just admitting to her mistakes
