Unlike normal people who feel like they need to be putting their sweat and labor into genuine accomplishments, there's something in the trans/lib/fattie psyche that absolutely cannot stomach people not thinking about them. It's an inherently attention-seeking behavior and does not offer any intrinsic value. It's not like being smart or successful or attractive or good at sports or charismatic. It is, truly, the lowest effort self bump. And so it appeals to people who are the most insecure.

These people are their "identity" into the void, never realizing that it's not only possible, but easy, to be unique without being interesting or useful.

Muslims still wear dresses right? And they're not gay except you know the guy that started it.

I consider myself libertarian, so I would of course never advocate for these kinds of performances like the ones at the opening ceremonies to be banned, but I have to ask, how far are liberals are going to take this raunchy depravity? Adults watching this on obscure media platforms is one thing, but it's oozing into the mainstream, and poisoning once young family friendly programming such as the super bowl and the Olympics. You can't sit down with your kids and watch the halftime show without a half naked rapper grabbing her crotch, and now this despicable display at the Olympic opening ceremonies rules it out as well. The simple retort is to just not watch it, but the way this debauchery is progressing, I can't help but wonder if in a few short years we will be witnessing real time abortions, acts of sodomy, naked male three ways, and transgender surgeries at the interludes of our favorite sporting events. I truly believe that as our children navigate the forest of life, liberalism is the wolf hiding behind the trees.

I agree it’s not a big deal. It’s the fact that these men were in dresses and were never criticized for it. Why are we criticizing them now? It’s because it’s feeding into an agenda from the right that men in dresses are “grooming” our children when in actuality it makes them uncomfortable.

I don't like religion, but stuff like this is an admission by people that they don't have something better.

I am not the biggest fan of organized religion as well, but with all of the moaning and belly aching we hear from the trans community about the bigotry and unfairness bestowed upon them, does it really help their cause by mocking the biggest religion in the world, at an event where people are supposed to come together in the spirit of good will and sportsmanship?

Hate to tell you, but there's no such thing as satan. Or god, for that matter. People made those things up thousands of years ago in order to control you. Remarkable that it still works after all these years.

I don't know. Who? Not many people as far as I can tell. I mock Xianity frequently, but I don't see many others doing so. It's considered impolite and even immoral to mock Xianity. People get offended. So I never mock it at work. It would just upset too many people that I rely on. Xtians are VERY sensitive about their religious beliefs. I mainly mock Xianity on message boards and at family gatherings, because what are they going to do? Un-invite me? Cut me off? They won't do that. We're a large and close family. They just have to deal with me because deep down they know it's just a silly bunch of supernatural stories. Not to mention that all the stories have guys in dresses!

I actually agree with a lot of this. You should be free to mock Christianity, and if it offends people, so be it. People don't have a right to never be offended. But you also have the wisdom to know the appropriate places where that can be done, and we both agree this message board is a place for that. Hence, my gay jokes. If I am charge of the opening ceremonies, I won't be making any jokes about homosexuality or transgenderism or Christians. Unless Mayor Pete is president and in attendance because he's all three.

I believe you do care or you would not have shared this. By the way - I would have no problem as a man wearing a dress because I’m comfortable and confident in my skin. A man who parades around with his guns and recites quotes from the Bible is more harmful than a man who parades around in a dress. Certainly less confident in himself.
