What, in your completely uninformed opinion, will be the legal grounds on which this verdict will be overturned? You don't have a clue.
I wish he weren't right, but the Supreme Court, if it takes that long, will absolutely bail out the crook. They do not need reasonable grounds. They overturn precedent every single term to serve their political goals.
That's how fu*#ed we all are right now.
This might be a stupid question, but can you appeal a state conviction to the US supreme court?
This will get thrown out on appeal and you know it.
Biden will now lose the election by an even wider margin and get to die in prison.
Congratulations on being the dumbest people alive.
It wouldn't surprise me if you're right. He'll definitely go on the warpath if he wins, and he's always been a slight favorite to win. And SCOTUS won't bail Biden out.
But you are a POS for rejoicing about any of that.
You're a flat out liar. The "second crime" was briefed extensively LAST YEAR and an Order issued on February 15, 2024. Trump's lawyers were well aware of the "second crime" long before this trial even started. We ALL were well aware of the "second crime" before trial started.
The charge was the misdemeanor was connected to a second crime, but you show me where and when the specific crime was revealed. I specifically recall the NY DA said he did not have to reveal it.
I gave you the date of the Order. You can't got look it up all by yourself?
Here. The prosecution's "second crime" publicly revealed in February 2024 (and briefed by prosecution even earlier in 2023) to anyone who can read English.

I just think it is highly unlikely that the Supreme Court would even care about this case, much less try to find some significant Constitutional violation that would warrant reversal here. For all the celebrity involved, and all the hysterical sh!t being said by MAG@s about the trial, this was pretty mundane, routine trial with basic evidentiary rulings.
Trump can lie, deny, and project on the campaign trail and his supporters believe him. It doesn’t work in court. He was always guilty of the white collar misdemeanor fraud, he has been doing that his whole life. Only now is it catching up with him. The question was always about elevating it to a felony using the tax and election laws. This will be appealed past the election but it might peel off a few votes, that’s all. the real crime is that the other three trials probably will not happen before the election. Those are the more egregious actions that have been far more damaging to America.

Trump is BS spinster. His lies don’t work in court. This is why the delays are his only legal strategy.
I despise him. He will get my vote, though, because I despise political corruption more. It will be overturned on appeal, but by then the damage us done.
Anyone who followed the trial knows this us a travesty. And I despise Trump.
So you despise a convicted lying felon, but you will vote for him to be president? WTF?
Impeached twice and has been guilty of several civil trials as well.
Lock him up.
Can't buy a firearm. How are you going to be the Commander-in-Chief with a felony when you can't enlist being a convicted felon.

I see reference to legal theories, and also see the Court ruling that the People did not need to reveal specific crimes (so they did not). You certainly come off as versed in the Legal field. So are Turley and Dershowitz just spinning things when they say there are many grounds for appeal due to wrong rulings by the Judge?
I can only hope your rights are violated in such a manner.
How many people have paid someone off to keep their mouth shut, and deducted the payment on their taxes as an expense? I can think of only one.
You never heard of a settlement? They're very common in corporate America. And they are included in legal expenses. They are never called "hush money" in financial statements. The jury was not allowed to hear that.

Good point!
There are two ways Trump can ask the Supreme Court to review his case, but they are different from a direct appeal. First there is a request for a writ of certiorari, then there is a request for a writ of habeas corpus. Either would normally be long shots, but with Alito and Thomas on the Court I’m not putting anything past them.

I don't know. What are Turley and Dershowitz saying are the grounds for appeal (and presumably they mean strong grounds)? None of you guys seem to know.
