The second photo (scroll down) with Zane in handcuffs, clutching possessions including a blanket, extra clothes and water, in preparation for his initial 5 days of custody, is a chilling reminder that when living in a foreign country, one should be very aware of the rules and regulations and cultural mores. All the more so in developing countries where the justice system is likely not top notch.
Yeah totally. "Who knew that unregistered ak-47's and attemptiong rape was not allowed here! So random!".
“Unregistered AK47”?
lol
yes,, please go to Kenya and try to register your AK47 and your atomic bomb at the same time.
First goal. Pay jailers and prison gang leaders for protection.
Second goal. Pay off the woman accusing him of raping her. Pay her enough to drop the charges and to refuse to attend court.
Third goal. Pay off judge to get bail before the trail even begins.
Fourth goal. Pay criminal gang or mercenaries to drive him to another country and get out of Africa quick.
If he is found to be without guilt by the Judge (paid or not) no need for the 4th goal. In theory, he could resume his life in Kenya, but it would be advisable for him to leave Kenya, at least for a while, to let things cool down and sensible thoughts prevail.
I’m sure he’s wishing he never came to Africa. Looks like he might not ever get to leave.
Sir, he will definitely leave Kenya at some point. There is no way a Kenyan Judge, in his right mind, would deliver a long sentence to a Mzungu with a powerful passport from N.Z. Not going to happen. In addition, the evidence is not water tight that Zane committed the alleged crime of attempted rape. It sounds way over the top. Let the Kiwi superstar (his 3:34.00/1500 impressed me even more than his 2:08:00 marathon) have his day in court to elucidate this disgraceful, unfortunate matter in a clear, transparent way, and go from there.
I predict a complete acquittal in the days/weeks to follow.
As mentioned before, Zane is no choirboy, as he's rough around the edges (surprisingly non tattooed except for small N.Z. sign) but career criminal, he's not. Depressing to see people here throw him under the bus. Sad times.
zane never matured past the age of 16 unfortunately, you can tell in every interview hes ever done, wouldnt be surprised if the bullying by teachers story was all a complete fabrication by the twins. Stay in school kids

But Zane was mature enough to have a marvelous range of 3:34/1500 to 2:08:00/marathon during an illustrious career spanning a decade. A 16 year old kid or adult with that mentality, would not have the intelligence and self abnegation to achieve such monster performances. I also firmly believe he was clean during all his career until his downfall in Manchester. Interestingly we have the perfect study with twin Jake, 60:00/clean, showing the EPO to Zane conferred no benefit, showing an actual lessening of performance compared with "clean" Jake. Prof Canova has confirmed this theory multiple times. Noted.

Running does not require mental maturity it requires commitment and dedication, in having one does not mean you have the other. Case in point, most mentally mature individuals do not take drugs, own AK 47s or sexually assault women
It’s funny how people immediately say Zane should pay his accuser and other individuals involved in his arrest, but consider the suggestion that this might be a hit job as implausible.
if it was a hit job, I bet they knew exactly where the ak47 was when searching the home.
Now, the accusers and individuals involved in his arrest wait do their payout and the white runner everyone apparently hates to leave the country.

He's not being investigated for lack of maturity.
What stands out is a behavioural problem regarding following rules and consistently bad decision making. That's something with him and I doubt it will go away wherever he lives, unless he shuts himself away somewhere and finds something else to occupy his time. Usually alcohol with this type
He is being investigated for sexual assault, which is rape, not attempted rape. He is currently not charged, but under investigation. That’s the reality.
Both charges he is being investigated for have life imprisonment as the maximum penalty.
He is a white (rich in their eyes) foreigner in a developing African nation. The legal system works very differently in Kenya. The penalties are harsh too. The likelihood he gets leniency or even a fair trial is unlikely.
There is a very real possibility he will never leave Africa. His drug ban, committed while in Kenya, will also negatively impact his chances for leniency.
When traveling or living in a foreign country, you should be on your best behavior.
His family could buy his freedom but it will take everything they own most likely.
