Course records for consistent courses matter. They are only relevant to the course. Running a 14min time on a short, flat course and bragging about it as your xc pr has very little weight. I’d rather win a hilly 5k race in 15:30 than run 14:xx and finish 15th and call it a PR. Take Parkside, the commonly used Midwest xc regional course, for example. It’s not blazing fast because it’s hilly and often muddy at the end of the season, but getting close to the course record would be very impressive.

Seems like others disagree but to me PR's in cross aren't a thing. If a 15:00 on one course can be more impressive than a 14:30 on another then why should an XC PR matter? Save the PR's for the track.
There is no 3-mile in high school track dufus.
There are High School 5000’s track.

No Woodbridge is not the same course organizer as Cool Breeze. The only commonality is that Asics is sponsoring both races (Thank you Asics). Woodbridge has been going for a much longer time than Cool Breeze.

Yes they did. One winners splits were, 4:49, 5:39 and closed in 4:55.
They make a lot of money on this race. I can’t believe they didn’t hire competent personnel to correctly measure the course, put the mile markers in the correct position and have correct times at the finish.

But I have a friend at the meet that is telling me they changed the course for today's races. Don't have any real details other than it's shorter than yesterday.

The mile markers look off, but I am not seeing finishing times yet that look like 2.95. Not seeing enough sub 15's for that.

What XC meet changes their course in the middle of its races? Woodbridge is a complete sh*tshow. The race director is a beta cvck for caving in to the whiners.
If you claim your PR is from Woodbridge this year (or any year really), it is immediately invalid and you are a clown for even saying it. Lol.
