Two Kenyans dumped out in the heats. How the mighty have fallen.
Surely the mighty haven’t won the last 4 olympics, 4 of the last 8 worlds, and surely they don’t still have the favorite this year. If they’ve indeed fallen, of course.
Damn, Clayton Murphy's days as a medal threat might be over. He is my favorite elite US mid distance runner and I will always root for him, but he doesn't have the elite close any longer.

Painful to watch honestly. Murphy letting the guy on the inside, just the chefs kiss of continued incompetence.
Sumner is our only hope. I have very low expectations of Brazier's return -- he has always been battling injury and he's getting older.
That said, Sumner didn't deserve it and I think he can't handle the rounds at this stage in his career. Brandon Miller might have a moment or two. I think Kessler could make our team if he wanted as well, but he's been very weird in big moments thus far in his young career. Who knows.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeverybody thinks they have the kick. Most don't. I've never seen Harris storm on at the end, so I have no idea why he thinks that's a good strategy for him.
LOL @ Letsrunners.
If a runner goes out hard, they are criticized. If they go out less hard, they are criticized.
He split, 56.08, just 0.8 behind the leader's 55.28. Not exactly miles back.
not that I think I know any better than these guys, but HOW on earth are they watching the heats before them and then still going out in 53-54 every heat?!
