I think that Katelyn Rupe, Libby Castelli, and Norah Hushagen, will be top 3.
Wayzata and Olathe West will qualify just like last year.
Johnston IA will be on the outside looking in

Would have to add Schmitz in the less likely category as she ran 4 seconds faster than Hoffman last week without any one to chase.
On the boys side I have to cheer for Eli Hall to make it to nationals, ran a phenomenal race. Wayzata always peaks at the right time, I will be surprised if they aren't 2nd.
I agree about Johnston but Dorenkampn will finish top 3.
I predict Dowling as 2nd. They beat Wayzata at Griak and they are greatly improved.
Wayzata has a better top 4, but Dowling has a much better #5 runner. So this will depend on how many scorers from other teams will finish between Dowling’s 5th and Wayzata’s 5th.

Boys team predictions
1. Stevens Point WI. Won Griak and put 6 guys under 16:15 at the state meet.
2. Dowling Catholic IA. Took second at Griak. Top 5 were under 16:03 with a 29 second spread at the state meet. None of their scorers can have an off race to qualify, since their 6th guy is far back.
3. Wayzata MN. Has a solid top 4, but their 5th runner is far behind them, which could be an issue on a big field like NXR. If their 5th man somehow closes the gap, they can autoqualify.
4. Cedar Falls IA. Was only 12 points behind Dowling Catholic at the state meet.
5. Cedar Rapids Kennedy IA. 4th place at the IA state meet.
6. Minnetonka MN. Took second at the state meet.
7. Mounds View MN. Made the podium at the state meet. Also their 16:00 transfer is now eligible to race with the varsity.
8. Hudson WI. They had a great season so far. They took second at the WI state meet and 7th at Griak.
9. Bismarck ND. Won the ND state meet. Returned everyone from last year except for their #1. Very deep team.
10. Edina MN. This team always seems to do well in the post-season. They took 5th place at Griak and took 4th at the state meet.
These are solid predictions. The top four will be an exciting battle. Anything can happen.
Just arrived in Sioux Falls! It’s going to be a fantastic weekend.
Who's team are you representing and what are your predictions?
Katelyn Rupe should be able to qualify. She is no longer on the tennis team so she has more time for training.

Wayzata. Girls are a lock. Hopeful that boys go too.

I’m cheering for Iowa teams to be 1 and 2 and any Individual Iowa boys to do well, Think there’s 2 to 3 that could put a sub 15 up!
No way 1 and 2. But it is likely that SPASH wins and Dowling gets 2nd and Zuber qualifies. Sounds like that will make you happy.
Yeah I think SPASH is the favorite to win. Their 6th man also ran a 16:15 at the state meet, so this team has more room for error than the other top teams in the region.
Spent several hours at Yankton Trails today. The course looks great. Firm, dry, no issues.
In all the years I’ve been here for NXR, I’ve not seen better weather. 60 and sunny tomorrow sounds great.
Saw several of the favorites out doing warm-ups and run-thrus. The atmosphere was electric: excitement was all around.
Merchandise sales looked as good as I’ve ever seen. Massive line for Nike gear, and the TC Running Company was selling shoes by the hundreds. Saw some girls walking away with new Vaporflys. Wonder if their parents knew beforehand that pricey shoes were part of the deal!
Tomorrows races will be fantastic.
Rising stars boys race:
Josiah Bitker - 15:29
6 guys under 16.
Cedar Falls wins without their top 2 sophomores that are in the championship race. Definitely a team to watch in the future
At the beginning of the open 1 boys race, a guy up front was like dancing until everyone else caught up to him.
That was hilarious, lol
“JAGuar” and “Dashing JAGs” teams go 1&2 in open 1 race. Interesting.
Blaine second without Santiago.
Mounds View’s B team took 4th
Luke Williams - 15:32 in Open 2. His team wins that heat as well
Boys heat 4
Aidan Gomes - 15:42
Dallas Center Grimes from Iowa wins
Heat 5
Caleb Dickel - 15:27
Johnston IA wins
