It will be interesting to ascertain which new ID will be that of Astro. Bashing Wiley is an addiction for him and he just can't give it up. He just can't handle that Wiley has passed by his little princess, Kately T, and has left her in the dust.
Like you, I’d love to see her move on from Huntington group, and I think the best way for her to do that would be for her to keep improving. Ideally, she’d be offered money to run with one of the professional groups when she is ready. I look forward to seeing her do even more awesome than she is!

Are you with a shoe company? I figured (perhaps mistakenly?) that each contract would consider a variety of factors when making their offers. To me, it seems a little implausible that all the shoes would determine that a runner is a “no go no matter what” based solely on their previous coach’s reputation. Only like 1% of extreme running geeks (which in itself like 1% of runners they would market to) would have any idea about the Huntington issues.

I am not with a shoe company but I've been around this sport long enough to know that:
1) these companies will do their due diligence
2) this sport is small enough that the bridges burned by Nick and Lauren Johnson have not been forgotten
3) a 19 year old who is winning races and running 1:59/4:03 should have NIL deals/shoe companies knocking down her door.
4) many companies will want to put her in a specific training group. many of those groups allow the current athletes some say in who will join their group
5) IF she somehow gets a contract before the dust settles on the pending cases, there will be an uproar by other athletes

The Addy Wiley threads fly off the handle because one side: "The future is soOoO bright" can't admit that hers is a story that is shrouded in very serious issues including abuse and PEDs. No one suspects Wiley of doping because she is fast. People are suspicious and frankly just worried about her because of the allegations other athletes who worked with the Johnsons made. Addy has admitted to remaining close to Lauren, and Lauren won't specify her current relationship with Nick. That's objectively concerning and scary. Ignoring the issue would be total negligence.
The other side seems to think Wiley is a threat to Tuohy for some reason and seek to demonize her instead of treat her like a human who was likely put into a dangerous situation at a young age. Tuohy fans have got to get a grip. I like Tuohy a lot but I don't demonize every single girl who dares to run similar times to her.
When Mary Cain started working with Salazar there was so many people who knew what a terrible idea it was and who salazar really was, but said nothing. They kept the stereo up and the party going while Mary became the GOAT high school runner of her time. Then it all came crashing down and Mary was abandoned until she told her story. Let's not pretend to ignore the truth about something when we see it for what it is.

As it pertains to AW, the companies don't care in the slightest about some feud that happened years ago between the Johnsons and the Yoder-Begleys or whoever. 3) The 1:59 wasn't that long ago, and we don't know what offers may already have been extended, or are in the works, etc. Obviously, things are progressing well running-wise for AW. Huntington is facilitating a meet schedule that is as good as she'd find anywhere. Regarding an NIL deal, she hasn't been as marketable yet because she comes from a podunk town in a podunk state, and HU is not Stanford or NC St. But, she's doing a great job of changing that! 4) Assuming she's getting a full-ride, she may not immediately jump at an offer if it required her to move. Eventually, though, she will. Working out the group dynamics when a younger prodigy involved is not always the easiest, and for now things are progressing well for her where she's at. Huntington is catering for her to have an excellent meet schedule that is as good as she'd find anywhere. As far as being concerned for her safety and well-being, both Coaches Roark and Neideck came highly recommended as stand up guys. If you would like to inform them about what happened so that they can be on the lookout, I’ll provide their contact info to you. But, I think they might already have heard a little here and there about the situation.

When Tuohy is brought into the discussions about Wiley, it is often by the Wiley fans. I know that there are the Tuohy fans that will deem any up & coming runner as a threat but I don't believe that number is as high as many think that it is. There are a few very vocal Tuohy fans, and I think that we all know who they are, and it makes it seem as if there are many more Tuohy fans that will degrade Wiley any chance that they get. I also believe that some of those Tuohy fans post under multiple names. I also believe that the reverse is true and there are Wiley fans using multiple usernames.
I only started reading and posting to this forum very recently. I was totally unaware of the Tuohy and Wiley fans that threw barbs at each other until I visited this cesspool. I also was not aware of Touhy fans that were critical of other runners that were deemed to be a threat. There are more like me. I would b willing to bet that most fans of the sport don't ever visit this forum. There are not nearly as many as you think there are and this forum is not representative of the fan base of the sport.
All of that aside, I believe that the comparison of Tuohy to Wiley are laughable. Tuohy is primarily a 3000/5000 type of runner and that will be her strength going forward. Wiley is a 800/1500/miler type and that will be her strength. They are two totally different runner. At 800/1500/mile, Wiley wins in a matchup between them. At 3000/5000/XC, Touhy would win. Comparing them is ridiculous and, quite frankly, very boring.
I’d have to assume absolutely no one is throwing any money at Wiley right now.
If shoe sponsors are giving her offers, it’s probably contingent on her leaving Huntington. They are not gonna give her a Hobbs Kessler/Athing Mu deal that allows her to stay in her environment. If any other American collegiate female runners ran 4:03 this year they’d either be 1) signed to a pro shoe deal 2) signed to a shoe NIL deal
Willis, Whitaker, Mazerich, Tuohy, Valby all have deals that Wiley claimed she wanted to achieve at Huntington so what gives? Her performances are sure worth the deal. I personally don’t even think people are low-balling her, I just think she’s not getting offers.
There are also a ton of girls in the NCAA who have deals with protein powders, chapsticks, supplements, hydration stuff and she’s not doing that either.
I do think there is some tension with her among the US pros. Are they not going to see her shaking out with Lauren at USAs?

Well Colleen Quigley hasn’t been competitive on the track since pre-covid and citius mag is probably only reaching the people who already know about it, but I see what you’re saying.
I mean maybe her competitors don’t give sh*t and respect how good she is.But I haven’t seen anyone do that either. Not to bring up Tuohy again, but both Alicia and Cranny have commented about how what she was doing in the NCAA was awesome.
Has anyone asked any of the women’s 1500 their opinion on her? Probably not.
I don’t even think her peers would scrutinize her publicly with the case still not settled and she’s still only a teenager. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt to move on and prove that she is just as good in another system and I’m sure they do to.
If she’s still there in 2 or 3 years, still unsponsored and still publicly hanging out with Lauren at meets however…….I wouldn’t be surprised if things start to fly…..
