Studies done after that incident showed that the risk of certain heart defects in college athletes was 1 in 10,000.
A star basketball player died in Michigan in 2011 after hitting a game winning shots. The cause? Cardiac arrest associated with an enlarged heart (a known risk for taller individuals):
I'm for one sick of the recency bias. There were medical problems that were unsolved before COVID. Many of those problems are still unsolved. This is absolutely one of them. The people who are saying it must be the vaccine or it must be COVID are just showing their agendas while the rest of us are just living our lives.
Point is it could be due to the jab -- but we are supposed to think this is not possible.
Of course it's possible.
Heart issues in young male Americans was up in 2021, 2022, and 2023
I'm long past caring about covid discussions, but I have some questions.
In 2020, on NCAA athletes who'd had covid, and the link to myocarditis. The findings:
"In this cohort study of 1597 US competitive collegiate athletes undergoing comprehensive cardiovascular testing, the prevalence of clinical myocarditis based on a symptom-based screening strategy was only 0.31%. Screening with cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging increased the prevalence of clinical and subclinical myocarditis by a factor of 7.4 to 2.3%."
Have any thorough studies been done on the vaccine which can separate vaccine induced myocarditis from covid induced myocarditis? Further, do any of these studies posit an inherent difference between the two?

Like seriously people, have you seen enough of these vaccine heart attacks and blood clots etc etc to finally realize the truth that has been smacking you in the face? This is criminal, those who forced this
You again. What the hell has gone wrong in your life that all you do is surround yourself with nonsense.
There is as much evidence that a vaccine caused this as aliens did it. Since you can't prove that aliens didn't do it, then it must be true, right?
The logic that some of you try to operate on is mind blowing.
Seemingly healthy people have medical issues all the time. This is only news because of who his father is but this plays out all over the world and there is no credible evidence any mRNA vaccine has any impact on these things
Why even try? There is nothing that will convince you that you’re wrong or have been had on this.
Wrong about what?
That we the taxpayer paid for the jab? WE did and are still paying for more of them
That there were vaccine injuries?
That Covid was man made in China and funded by the US? Seems it was.
The latter two.
Meanwhile, it looks likes once the vaccine became a partisan issue, more Republicans than Democrats in Ohio and Florida died from COVID. Where’s the conspiracy there?
There is as much evidence that a vaccine caused this as aliens did it.
Other than the fact that the jab has caused many heart problems in young males and that aliens have not
That’s as much a fact as is aliens from Pluto being responsible for Elvis death.
Heart ailments in young people in the United States rose by 30% in the first two years of the pandemic, which would suggest that COVID-19 is the culprit.

Uhhhhh, not really.
Firstly let's get off this narrative that "normal healthy people have health problems all the time" in the context of an 18 year old collapsing with a cardiac arrest at basketball practice. Because that simply doesn't happen "all the time". What happens "all the time" are sprained ankles, broken/jammed fingers etc - not cardiac arrests.
No there is no direct evidence that a vaccine contributed to this particular incident, yet, but there is evidence that connects the taking of the covid vaccine to the possible inflammation of the heart muscle which might have contributed to this incident of this nature. Whether this happened to Bronny James or not is irrelevant - it's not implausible. So really there is much more evidence that this could have been caused by the covid vaccine than your existence of aliens. Sorry.
It's been hypothesized in this thread what might have been at play - 1) unknown, existing health condition or 2) the taking of some foreign (non-natural) substance that contributed to it. Whether you want to accept this or not, covid vaccines are in the second group and the science behind this evidence is legitimate. Suggesting "Alien responsibility" to try and deflect from that is just lazy and lame.
Once again to reiterate - I'm not saying the vaccine is to blame. But I am pointing out that there is far more evidence to suggest that the vaccine may have contributed than "Aliens". That's just the way it is.

Yes. that poor kid was undoubtedly vaccinated. Dad most likely forced it on him. Said it himself that the vaccine was “best for his family”. now, he lives with it. wonder if Bron will continue to pound the table for everyone to get vaxxed? no doubt, all you pro vax goofballs have given up taking the jab, proving the point. Now, you’re just preaching a guilty conscience.

It actually rose drastically in 2021, the 2nd year of the "pandemic". The year the jabs came out.
It was also was up in 2022 and is way up in 2023, years after the pandemic.
The establishment mixed 2020 and 2021 data together to avoid the conclusion that the jab was causing heart problems beginning in 2021 so they could blame it on Covid.
You have to dig into these things. They are liars.

No vaccine injuries?
Wow
Recorded instances of complications resulting from vaccination are very rare. Much more rare than serious illness or death resulting from the contraction of COVID-19 itself and those vaccinated against COVID-19 tend to suffer from serious illness and death to lower degree than those who aren't.
If your peer reviewed research says otherwise, you can come back here to tell us about the Nobel Prize in Medicine they're going to give you.
But hey, enjoy that community you have, knowing that you're in the real know about everything and that it's only a matter of time before all the suckers suffer the consequences of the poison they took as gullible fools!

Downvote.
I guess there is more than one person here he thinks there have been no vaccine injuries

See post #122.
Has a single study separated the impact of vaccines on the heart vs covid itself?
This thread was deleted by a volunteer mod. It should not have been. This is a MAJOR story of the day and obviously should be discussed on letsrun.
The reality is I think a lot of people are going to come up with 5 potential options to explain this.
1) PED related.
2) Illicit drug related.
3) Covid related
4) Vaccine related.
5) Random / fluke. Teens don't normally have heart attacks but they sometimes do.
Big omission here is the use of "pre-workout" supplements that have massive caffeine doses in them. I just had a sit-down with my teens who are both capable 14 year old athletes to discuss the sheer amount of protein and caffeine that they are ingesting. There are mainstream "energy drinks" and pre-workout products that are downright dangerous. "Dry swallowing" the powder is a thing in some circles that leads to severe illness and death, as is drinking energy drinks to "hydrate" when the overall effect is significant dehydration.
