I love Ingebrigsten's honesty and direct answers. But his cockiness is pretty funny considering he's lost the last two 1500 world championships (2022 outdoors to Wightman and 2022 indoors to Tefera).

Us mortals always tend to compare athletes to other athletes or times/achievements from the past, but the great ones have their own vision of what they want to accomplish that isn’t modeled on others.
