In this video, maybe about 2:10 in, Kara talks about how she is going to celebrate with some adult beverages “and Alberto’s here,” so it does make one wonder why you are going to be drinking adult beverages with your alleged abuser. But I understand that this is EXACTLY what a victim would do because a victim would do just about anything, and anything a victim does is to be understood as the behavior of a victim.

Also keep in mind that as Kara is gushing about how she will be celebrating with Alberto (and friends and family) and adult beverages, this is about a month after she alleges the second incident of sexual assault happened. I understand this is exactly how a victim would behave. Exactly…

How much did Kara influence Mary Cain's abuse story? To me, it seems like the abuse allegations for both women were the way out to completely disassociate themselves from Alberto and remove the cloud of suspicions against them. Would Kara be able to be a commentator for Track&Field if she was still associated positively in some way to Alberto? Do you think Jordan or Shannon or Galen or Mo would be able to have similar jobs without disassociating themselves from Alberto? Isn't Sifan Hassan the only athlete that continued to excel post Alberto?
