Any companies who want to sponsor her would want her to stay in college!!!
She's getting way more exposure as a college athlete than she would if she turned pro...
I'm sure Adidas wants her to stay in school... And if another company wanted to sponsor her as well I'm sure they would too
She wouldn't have gotten newly as much attention yesterday if she was a pro athlete but breaking the college record gets a lot of attention
As well when she runs national championships and during the cross-country season is much more attention than she would as a distance runner in the fall
That's my thought. I am not even sure making an Olympic would add up to 3 NCAA and all the prerace hype. Right now she is setting records. As a pro she is finishing 3rd...
Course I sort of doubt many pro/nil are actually worth it..
Yeah seriously... And there's a lot of other companies, she could basically get an endorsement deal with any company besides an additional shoe company... Food nutrition, KT tape, a car company, a local company in New York or North Carolina, she could get an NIL deal with anyone else if she wants to...
Way more media coverage being an NCAA champion than being a third place American pro.. she will use all her eligibility...
She needs to go pro now. There will never be a time that her stock will be this high. Runners get injured. Runners get burned out. Runners plateau. Her 3000 performance is by far the best thing she has done. I think she could get a 5 year deal worth $200K per year right now. It is easy to finish school while running professionally. Be smart. It didn't work out well for King Ches.
Ummm. She IS pro. Has a Contract, Education paid, housing paid, top coaching paid, PR paid, Food paid. How much did you think before you posted? Good thing you are not her advisor.
Have you read the posts or thought about the logic of what you wrote? She is getting $100k for 1 year. If she gets a career ending injury tomorrow, she is done. Her stock is at an all time high. She could sign a 10 year contract for $250K per year and be set for life while finishing her free college. But your plan of running in college is fun for kids.

lol 250k a year!!!??? for katelyn tuohy?? 😂😂 please tell me ur kidding ...i hope you know that she currently gets paid A LOT right now just for her name
she's most popular distance runner in the US, the most decorated HS distance runner of all-time, multiple NCAA champ, and currently assaulting the collegiate record books
her popularity is comparable to abby steiner if not even more popular than steiner
lets talk about popularity, most pros get contracts based of their college performance but for some, popularity plays a big role and tuohy can play her cards because she has an enormous following and shes also one of the most successful college distance runners
on my channel only, a freakin youtube fanpage theres 36 million clicks and engangement on the videos uploaded only in the last 12 months, an additional 1.5 million clicks on photo posts, and an additional 4 million clicks on the shorts
name me another distance runner who gets this much attention on youtube?? YOU CAN'T.
not only that, tuohy has her own page which has almost 100k fans, and also got an instagram fanpage with almost 5 million views and gets likes from 3,000-25,000
like a katelyn tuohy fanpage gets more likes and engagement from people than most distance runners .. karissa schweizer posts and gets 15 comments, a katelyn tuohy fanpage posts and gets 60 comments
like!!?? i hope ray flynn uses these numbers for katelyn's future pro contract because SHES DOING SO MUCH PROMOTION FOR WHATEVER BRAND SHES REPRESENTING

I'm sure that she is getting good advice and doesn't need to consider the the advice of a rando like you. She has a close relationship with her parents. You don't think that they're chiming in with their 2¢? She probably already has been hooked up with a financial advisor and all pros & cons carefully thought over and weighed out. She'll go pro when it is the optimal time and makes the most sense for her. She's smart and those around her are smart as well.
A $250K contract for 10 years is not going to set he up for life. We're not talking about an NFL or NBA player that can play for less than 10 years and be set up for life.
Tuohy is doing just fine and what Fargo says is spot on. She has an NIL contract. I have no idea what that is paying her but I am sure it is a good bit of change. Her education, housing, coaching, trainers, food, and probably a lot more are all paid for. she goes pro now and she pays the remainder of her education, has to buy her own food, pay for her housing, pay her coaches and trainers, and more. Suddenly that $250K, that you mistakenly think is a big pile of money, isn't so much anymore.
She wouldn't pay for any if thise things as a pro. Yes she is talking to her parents and you will all applaud her decision to go pro even though you say it is the worst thing to do. You obviously aren't good at investing if you don't think she will be set for life with a $2.5M contract over 10 years. Invest most of it and it will be $2M at the end of 10 years. Average return in the market of 8% is $160K forever. But the point us that she is very popular right now and could be injured tomorrow and get nothing.
