Melody Fairchild bumped another runner take second place at the 1988 Footlocker National Championships. Nobody was all up in arms over her roughing up another runner. I guess runners were tougher back than.
This was for fourth place at a turkey trot.

That's a great video. From the angle it is tough to really see what happened. It almost looked like the other runner tried to move in front of Fairchild and she defended her position. If there was a view from directly in front it would be easy to see if either (or both) failed to run in a straight line.
Fairchild was a beast - 2nd, 1st, 1st at Footlocker. That '88 race also had 2x NCAA CC Champ Carol Zajac of Villanova and some girl named Deena Drossin. What ever happened to her?
Maybe if we had representation in Congress we wouldn’t have to do this to you. Did you think of that? Don’t feel so smug now, huh, about all those “voting rights” you have?
