It's a free world and no one is under any obligation to listen to me or to use their brain cells to understand elementary Newtonian mechanics, unfortunately.
If you'll read what I previously posted, it says the same as you did below: "it is not actually gravity that pulls you forward".
The only way there is a component of gravity that is parallel to the surface, is if that surfact is inclined. Unless you go for your run down an infinitely long sloping surface, there is no net work that the force of gravity has done 'pulling' you in the forward direction.
