How is this a good thread? Melly is trying to appeal to LDS girl's compassion for the "queer" society; however most of those young girls do not care and in fact disdain the "queer" lifestyle.
I think it’s worth noting that to most BYU students racist animosity is a foreign concept. Any racist thoughts they might they have are based on ignorance and a lack of life experiences, not actual animosity. Most people from the mountain west simply haven’t been around a lot of diversity and think of themselves as genuinely nice and accepting of all races. The LDS faith has racist facts in its history, but the current generation of Mormons see that as a confusing past to be grappled with and theologically overcome and purged, not something they embrace.
Is it possible that someone yelled something racist? Yes because there are ignorant racists like the godmother everywhere, but it is unlikely. BYU students, staff, and people working there would have shut it down very fast.
The AD (who played for the 49ers and was head coach at Cal), like a lot of Mormons, tried to get out in front of this in an attempt to appear anti-racist.
Considering no evidence from hundreds of spectators and players and many cameras he was wrong.
How many here who think there was a racist taunt think Jussie Smollett was an actual victim? Haters gonna hate and victimhood is practically an incurable disease.
It's kind of hilarious....you go off on a rant about how nowdays there's no way people would allow someone to get away that racist behavior so it must be a lie.......then you ban me for pointing out that let people get away with racist behavior on your own site and welcome them back. You do realize you're proving your entire attempted point wrong lol
But still doesn’t change the fact that this player made stuff up about racism.
Black athletes can’t lie? doesn't exactly help the cause
maybe they lied maybe they didn't....either could be true
what isn't great, is a website with a very questionable history on race to have one of their owners go off an unhinged rant on race and banning people for correctly pointing out his hypocrisy.
yeah, maybe the athlete lied
what we do know for sure, is LRC is a racist cess pit and the owner and mods are part of the problem
Why is everything blown up into broad historical contexts or about this message board?
This specific player lied about something that could ruin someone else’s life…it was reckless, the irony is that she’s the true racist, it happens move on
I have a family member that was at the game near where this supposedly happened. said no one heard anything. there was no police put there to intervene (that claim has been proven to be false by the way by investigators). no one can understand why they think there was repeated racial heckling.
is it possible one person yelled the n word ONCE. sure. althought there is no evidence of this (from videos, fans at game etc)
but repeated racial slurs by the crowd with no one doing anything. 10000% false.
I had a friend at the game as well. They heard the whole thing. Sad.
"I totally understand why my actions were offensive and I am deeply sorry for any pain or distress this has caused anyone," said the highly-regarded junior after allegedly using a racial epithet to describe Georgia quarterbac...
Probably the only reason this was reported was because there were several black students around that overheard it. Plus the guy said it repeatedly and loudly. If he had been a little quieter about it and said it in front of no black students maybe he would have gotten away with it. Most of his pals apparently thought it was very funny! [ as did he] if it wasn't corroborated I'm sure you would have called this a hoax also, right? Right.

well when the owner of the message board comes on and posts something as ridiculous as he did, it kinda opens up the conversation.
(especially when he then bans people for criticizing his take.....on the same thread where the registered poster who defended slavery as 'not that bad' and claimed it was OK to call flag kneelers N-----s continues to be welcomed and allowed to post freely)
A man who was banned during a volleyball game between Brigham Young University and Duke University last week for allegedly yelling the N-word at a player does not appear to have actually said a slur after all, BYU campus poli...
