He is NOT running anywhere near 3:25, His PR is 3:28.x and he has run a LOT of championship type races and heats.I am not even sure he touches 3:27.x
Definitely not sure of a sub 3:28 clocking. But I think the race will be set up to allow for that with a negative split (2:18-2:20 through 1K). Working to his advantage is he skipped Monaco, and then at Europeans, it was only 3 races total (no 5,000m heat).
Well, Hobbs proved me wrong with his stellar 1000 and 800 races. He held his own with the big boys and laid down some strong times. Then he inexplicably flopped in the 1500. Who knows which version will show up at the 5th Avenue mile?
