I hate Trump, I would be happy if he croaked today, but Garland is a liar when he says "nobody is above the law", everybody in the US must know that is an absolute joke by now.

Suppose Trump was actually keeping classified documents in his private residence, which is against the law and could have national security implications. And suppose Trump and his lawyers have have been asked repeatedly to turn them over but they have refused. What would you suggest the DOJ do? Just let it pass?
Republicans have been quite explicit about their intention to investigate and imprison people like Fauchi, Biden, Clintons, etc. should they regain power. Their outrage that Fat Donald is being investigated for crimes is too rich. Even if it were politically motivated, you've all made it clear that you think politically-motivated investigations are ethically acceptable. So what's the problem? If Trump has done nothing wrong, then he should have nothing to hide. The FBI wouldn't make a move of this magnitude without being nearly 100% certain that they would find something big. We'll see what the evidence says soon enough.
This is long overdue. It should have happened as soon as Trump carted out all the government documents demonstrating his conspiracy to overthrow a legitimate election.

I hope the Trump people realize that Trump is a con. And i say that as someone who thought Trump said a lot of good things when he ran. But he didn't follow through on anything.
Hilary's emails were a disgrace. A regular govt employee would probably be locked up or fired for that. She wasn't.
Trump ran wanting the book thrown at Hilary for violating the records preservation rules. He's now violated the same rules and now the book is being thrown at him.

This may show that there is some politicization to the DOJ but it mainly shows that most people can't see clearly in politics as they are too biased.
Trump basically did what he ripped Hilary for doing. She should have been punished as should he.
