Im so glad for the vote feature so we can see the majority is disagreeing with Rojo. Every time an athlete says she won't speak with or reads Letsrun Rojo wears it like a badge of honour, yet lashes out like this when people points out why. The answer lies in every thread about female athletes, including the slanderous one started by this sites owners.

But by requiring a registered login, the trolling and trash would be reduced. If those aspects within the boards are reduced, then traffic would decrease to some degree. The clicks drive direction.

“They’re doing their best” comes with an excuse built in. Plenty of legit media sites, even focused exclusively on running or T&F, have solved this issue. It’s all a matter of will.

I am not sure that saying everyone else wants to “slit their wrists” is wise with all the suicides that occur. But having said that you said you are “done apologizing for this forum,” but then you seemed to hedge a bit by saying “particularly to people who live on instagram.” Now I have never been a member of instagram, but if I “lived on it,” this would have little to no bearing on whether an apology might ever be warranted. Having said that, I am done apologizing for being a jackass on this forum, although I am fairly certain I have never apologized anyway. You are done apologizing? You never really do anyway as you are a huge troll much of the time. Wejo has apologized a few times. You never owe me an apology as I am a guest here and I can leave any time of course. Wow such a long thread. Haven't read it all.

1) Please use the "report a post" function for any post you find objectionable. Human moderatore read every post reported.

2) Colleen Quigley was a professional model, she in an influencer as well in addition to being a runner, she is being paid for non-running things. Do I think people are going to discuss non-running things about her yes? That doesn't mean we don't moderate those things but some of it comes with the territory.

People call me a jerk and worse on here. Just sort of comes with the territory.

Please keep reporting stuff. Wish she had talked to Stephanie but not a big deal.

Rojo, you have never had to apologize for who you and your brother let post on here. Friends are friends and business is business and the First Amendment is a thing. A very important thing. If people don't like what others say about them, then don't read forums. Or if they're going to, then have thick enough skin that what you read about yourself doesn't cause a personal meltdown.

My hats off to Evan Jager for doing this interview. I watched him run his junior and senior year high school x-c and track. He's always been a class act. Evan, Cody M. says hello. I don't know if you remember him, but he asked you to sign his bib while waiting for the 3200m awards at EIU.

I think you're looking at it backwards. There is a polarized population because they allow racism and bigotry to flourish here. There is an audience for that, the Brojos get money from them being here and so it continues.

They are the bad parents of LRC. No rules for their kids. Too busy making money while the kids bicker and whine..like we are now.

Yes great to see Quigley back. Like most everyone else, I about lost my stuff when I saw that.

The national championships will be interesting with so many question marks surrounding our most accomplished steeplers. I noticed that Ostrander is entered in the 5000m on Saturday night and Coburn is entered in the 1500m. Hopefully Coburn is coming around.

Don't give up on Jager yet. Hopefully he'll at least make the WC team.

Sigh. First Amendment is not a thing on a private forum. Why don't so many people get that? Anyway, if you're of the view that, for example, overtly racist posts shouldn't be removed from a private forum because of some convoluted notion of "free speech," then you're part of the problem.

First, your constant refrain of "we have a report post function" really feels like you're moving the blame of your inability to moderate the board from the moderators to the users. It's one thing to remind people, it's another to use it as a defense mechanism. You're blaming all of us for the fact that you can't do your job. Cool, thanks!

You openly court the types of people who say hateful stuff about CQ. You refuse to remove posts or ban users who regularly post hateful things. You let these things slide by under the cover of "free expression" (e.g. anti-trans, homophobic posts, etc.) Those are absolutely the same posters contributing to the large volume of hateful stuff posted about people like CQ (and Leah Falland). Your moderation would be significantly easier if you'd just get rid of posters who post a scattershot of terrible stuff that you try to moderate one by one.

Shelby is happy there is a break in the 40 page sabotage thread. And Molly S gets a break on people posting on her “ adderol is like cocaine” thread. someone ask Jerry why he won’t speak to LetsRun lol.

But the other issue is when you say “Which is worse—allowing sports fans to talk about the sport they love and occasionally criticize pro athletes on a forum—or simply the creation of instagram?” it is sort of like me getting pulled over for a DUI and saying to the cop “Which is worse, me having a few drinks and then driving home, or the creation of Fox News?” Like I am not even saying you EVER need to apologize, except maybe for such palpably specious “reasoning” as that.

I'm hopeful for both Jager and Quigley. Frerich is a red flag with me right now.

If Quigley makes it, I'll be thrilled. Evan has work ahead, but I think he can get there.
