LMAO at everyone spewing their false equivalences.
You all FORCED people to wear masks. Nobody is trying to FORCE you to take them off.
Did you just point and laugh at bare faces, no, you ran screaming to your lib governors to use force. Be grateful we're only mocking you.
Well, speaking of 'false', we didn't "all" run to our liberal governors and ask them to use force. In fact, it is almost a certainty that only a miniscule portion of the population communicated with a governor's office to request the imposition of a mask mandate. And not all of the governors that required masks were liberals.
If you are so insecure about your decision to mock that you invent facts, perhaps you should rethink your decision to mock.
I have no problem with other people wearing masks. But many of the people still wearing masks are very upset the mandate has been lifted as they not only want to wear masks themselves; they also want everyone else to be forced to wear one.
It is far easier to wear a mask that to ask an unmasked person if they have been vaccinated within the last six months. You'll like get a lie as an answer. Or the unmasked/unvaccinated person will take that as a challenge and them what? A unmasked/unvaccinated man might start a fight. An unmasked/unvaccinated woman might throw a threats. unmasked/unvaccinated man or woman might pull a gun.
Besides the threat of "asking" the problem with unmasked/unvaccinated (lepers) is their failure to keep a distance in public places. Go to the store and you'll see the "certain" unmaskeders will walk up close to a masked people when there is no reason to do so -- plenty of space to the side. That is a bullying threat whether done it is an unconsciously act or done on purpose.
This is irrelevant. The CDC does not recommend anyone wear masks when Covid case levels are low, as they are in Seattle / King County. So it doesn't matter whether people are vaccinated or not.
In fact, even at the "Medium" level, the unvaccinated are not recommended to wear masks. Vaccination status no longer impacts the decision whether or not to wear a mask, per the CDC.
I'm at the gym now and about half of everybody is sporting a mask, N95 in some cases
People are free to do as they please. It's hard to comprehend such a concept, I know.
For those of us in Seattle who have been forced to wear masks for all but the last 3 days, save 3 weeks in summer '21, it is a novel concept that we're all getting used to.
If only the mask-lovers had your live-and-let-live attitude, it'd be all good. Sadly, people around here are highly traumatized at seeing unmasked faces and many would prefer the mask mandate be reinstated. For example, students in Seattle Public Schools are threatening a walkout on Monday if the mask mandate is not reinstated.
I have zero problem with others wearing masks. But every person I see in a mask, I can't help but wonder if they're one of the ones who'd like to force me to wear a mask.

Agreed. I too am a bit traumatized and unsure what to do when I see staff wearing a mask. I feel if the folks working have a mask on I suppose I should too to not freak them out. Otherwise I could give a damn about it all. I'd like to just grocery shop unmasked for once.
As you probably know, most leftists/liberals are filled with irrational fears.
More likely, the people are in one of either two camps (1) they've not heard of the reversal of the mandate yet or (2) they've weighed their personal costs and benefits and decided that for them, given they already bought the masks, they'd prefer to use them.
Other people wearing a mask does not affect me, except for the fact that I don't get to see their face ... on average I think that's a positive.
Masks are stupid. No people wearing them doesn’t effect me, but I still think people are stupid for wearing them.
Just like if everyone started wearing bike helmets everywhere they went just in case. Wouldn’t effect me, but I’d still think they were stupid.
To work and/or to any public place...i have diligently worn a mask (with liners or filters since March 8, 2020..
If something happens now? Then it's unfortunate but as of today, due to masking, hand sanitizer (kept in the kitchen, bathroom, car and bedroom), distancing, shopping at highly unpopular times (7am), and copious hand washing...not even regarding the safety routines at work....the sheer fact that the mask has kept me ANY illness free for over 735 days is proof extreme that masks work.
I'm inclined to continue to mask when going to the store (I work from home, and this is about the only time I'm around a lot of people), and I'd also mask on a plane.
I'd imagine in addition to COVID it would tend to reduce the potential for catching colds and flu.
Seems to me there's potential upside and no downside.

That's a non-sequitur. In Seattle, you had to show a vax card AND wear a mask to get in most places.

This is spot on. It really is unbelievable that some are saying’ “You’re free to do whatever, so why are you mocking people who wear masks?” That has not been the case, and we were all forced to wear masks here in Seattle.
And arunnerinwa is spot on. Majority of people would love it here in Seattle if mask mandate was still on. When I was at Costco, I was like the only person without a mask. When I went to Bellevue mall on Saturday, there were more people without masks, but many still had theirs on.
Seattle public schools initially was going to still continue the mask mandate, but fortunately, they followed the state and county’s guidance. In my son’s class, he was only one of four kids without masks. Overwhelming majority of people in Seattle would prefer to have mask mandate to go on.

I live in the Seattle area and I have only shown my vax card once -- to get into Canada to ski in December.
