Katelyn Tuohy breaks u20 3000m record

She never got her picture on a bubble gum card. Have you ever seen her picture on a bubble gum card? Hmmm? How can you say someone is great who's never had her picture on a bubble gum card?

on every tuohy thread, theres always other fans wondering why shes getting attention and theres also other fans crying and asking for their faves to get the same amount of attention, at some point this thread became a tuohy vs moo, then a tuohy vs hutchins

Is that the current topic, most accomplished? I say Mu wins followed by Tuohy followed by Hutchins. But if you are saying the focus is on who will be the most accomplished, then it goes Mu, Hutchins, Tuohy.

Tuohys hs prs of 27, 58, 209, 248, 434, 901, 947, 951 and 1537, are remarkably consistent, her 800 of 209 is a little slower, and the sprints come from relays so...

Hutchins 213, 443, 951 3200, 1534 5k, someone can add in other times, show much better distance runner...

Hutchins has to work on mechanics, Oakley and lane did not fair well running like that, I guess mercy runs kinda similar so maybe distance focus... I wish her the best though she seems like a really nice young person with a great attitude...

It was BS. The sadder part is that someone finally commented on that thread that the athlete in question has been dealing with injuries and not to make up stories. But people like to troll here and people buy it. Kind of like that thread about Tuohy getting major reconstructive knee surgery.

Got it. These kids do not need extra expectations from outside sources, they probably already have high expectations for themselves.

I think it is great that she is back running at a high level. but what was the story on the knee surgery. I thought it was weird that her injury was being denied at the time on this site. In the great scheme of things it is not our business, but I thought the news embargo was a bit over the top given her status in running at the time.

News organizations were under no embargo. That was business of 2E and her parents. Personal medical info. Whatever happened they were under zero obligation to put it out on social media or to news. And more likely it was minor surgery or maybe just PT for some nagging injury.

But hey, I spotted a bigfoot last week so there is that.

This is crazy. It seems that the same guys who denied it are the ones who use it at every chance to claim how impressive her time are after having surgery. At this point, she is just a runner like everyone else.

If there was no news about surgery, only rumor, then there was really nothing for people here to deny. Did you start the rumor? And fangirl will fangirl. No harm there. 1 poster, not crazy, just a fan. I don't recall her writing that 2E had surgery, only that she was back from injury. You can post link if you find it.

I don't feel like digging but seems like fans continue to bring up how well she is doing coming back from injury or surgery. I don't think I am dreaming but has happened before.

Whew, glad to see her putting up the performances that were expected again. We've seen a lot of female high school phenoms who never made it college or pros. Looks like she's back on a good trajectory.
