Tough to watch at the end there, Cooper Teare really giving everything, such a great effort, hope he recovers well and gets even stronger. Legend.

I couldn't, I'm working. I was tracking the live results and was surprised their was nothing after his 9k split for so long.

Nice to tough it out, but hope there isn't an injury.

Great race up front. What a battle, and off a tough pace.

Bravo to NAU.

Hope Cooper is ok - was 40th at 9k and losing some places, but unclear when he really started going backwards. I agree it’ll be motivating but in the meantime hope he recovers quickly.

Joshua cheptegai turned out OK too.

Thoughts:

Really impressed with Iowa State, OK State, and Arkansas! I didn’t realize how good they are through 4 guys.

BYU and Colorado not showing up

Notre Dame blow up. They completely neglect the entire season, make a mockery of our sport and hope to show up last minute and win. Bites them in the butt.

Overall it’s just crazy to see who rises and who falls due to the occasion alone. I think rankings are a more accurate picture of ability than the race itself because of this. However the game is to show up when it matters

Hastey has not run to the level he showed in high school. But to today he performed like I always hoped he would. He saved the team title for NAU. So happy for him.

No one cares about cross country. If he would've finished way back and looking fine it'd be different but clearly something was wrong.

I have a hunch that Teare won't be moving up to the 10K in track anytime soon.

Good races overall. Congrats to NC State on their first women's team title. It's impossible not to be impressed with Northern Arizona, as they are just a machine, winning their fifth men's team title in the last six seasons. Also, congrats to Orton and Mantz, as BYU becomes the first school to sweep the individual titles since Indiana in 1988.
